Shannon Maureen Conley

Colorado woman. Seems to me a lot of these women come from Colorado. Maybe those are the ones I hear about most or notice more often. Even before pot was legalized, so it isn't that. Might be the altitude, but that's a joke, probably not. Might be high female to male ratio within the dating age range. Oops, not that. I bet I know what it is. But the answer will not be seen in Huffington Post comments run through Facebook.

(1) I clicked on the link and my eyes were stabbed by some kind of "Smirnoff is for everybody" commercial (or something like that) before I could look away and I truly believe that right there is the deeper problem that could use some fixing.

(2) Shannon Maureen Conley.

She Irish?

(3) BTW, I don't want to come off as all high and mighty, here. I'd gladly purchase and consume all kinds of Smirnoff vodka if I thought there was even the slightest chance it would get me laid by real-life fantasy women like those in the commercial.

(4) I'm an idiot, true, but I'm an honest idiot.

The Female Bergdahl. I bet neither of them ever does any serious prison time. Stupidity plus no exposure to the air outside the progressive echo chamber = a sad moron easily manipulated by other people.

It's the thin air - they're slowly losing brain cells.

When in doubt, blame feminism ;)

Somehow I missed what this about? I only see a link to a story about Denver being a good place for single women.

I imagined wrongly the story was common knowledge.

It's about a Colorado woman arrested trying to join ISIL. She left a bunch of facebook posts and photos on that pin it place.

Like Titus said, she met a dude and was taken in by his cogency and his ferocity and undoubtedly the attention he lavished.

I think she's ugly.

Ugly as a scruffy mutt.

She has military experience and wants to use it against the U.S., and said so. Picked up at the airport.

Yay for spying on U.S. citizens!

Huffington Post.

My original post had a lot of comments about Facebook comments on Huffington, their reliable predictability etc., etc., then I realized how predictable I'm becoming myself so I erased it all in disgust.

The self-regarding sanctimony. I can smell it all the way over here.

They bore the living piss out of me, and I hope they bore the piss out of you too, and I realized that is a lousy thing to hope. It just makes me angry. Read through the comments and see if you don't recognize those people. They make me ill.

I realized I do not like my American flag.

It is 3/5 feet. A nice size. But you can see right through it. Polyester and cotton. The stars and stripes are printed.

Blah.

So I ordered another one. Why mess around, eh? Cotton bunting is the way to go. That's what I say. Embroidered stars, sewn stripes. Accept nothing less.

*looks up bunting*
poop
*looks up worsted*
oh.

She was never in the military; she went to a private camp.

Remember, other kooky liberal girls have fallen hard for those debonair middle eastern types.

Oh, there's nothing particularly wrong with her looks.

I'm not sure where I am on the *legality* of intending to be an idiot or change your loyalties. Though maybe she ought to get her citizenship stripped and booted from the country instead of locked up. The problem with stupid is, it doesn't seem fair when the consequences are permanent when the stupidity might possibly be temporary.

OTOH, looking American can be really useful to bad guys. Maybe less useful in the middle east, but I couldn't say how many times I walked through the gates at Clark with no one checking my ID because I was obviously American.

Too lazy to read the story.

Listen. Statistically this was bound to happen. What's the surprise? Who cares. It's not a widespread phenomenon, but, as I understand it, Islam in the US is a fast growing religion. BUT most aren't interested in being terrorists, but being Allah-ly (Godly).
