BIG BOOM IN BROOKLYN
Unfortunately this is fake. Composite of two pictures.
My son just showed me this site that detects lightning strikes in various regions, with a four-second delay:

Just in time for Independence Day. Coincidence?
I'll be more careful next time.
My wife picked it as fake. I showed it to her because I thought it was real. I know how to use photoshop but I rarely pick the fakes, too trusting/gullible.
Nah, it's real, I am sure of it. What more proof do you need :) ?
lol.
I've seen clouds that looked just like that, swirling around a mountain peak, complete with multiple lightning strikes, some hitting the rocks.
The kids and I had fun for 20 minutes or so of freeway driving hollering about the Gates! Of! Oblivion!
And I thank you.
For putting up with that which I did not understand, but now I get it.
The right person at the right time schooled me.
Indeed, I ought shut up. I should have, long ago.
'Night all.
Man, that torch the old gal is holding sure does put out a lot of pollution. Yuck. Take it down.
rcommal ...and thank you for the ZZ Top piece. The rockers who came out of country and had really cool cars built . I'd pay to own Billy Gibbons' "Cadzilla" today if I could afford it...built by Coddington, so I doubt that last part.
That's not Cadzilla - Cadzilla does not have a visor on it, plus the body is more extensively customized.
That thing looks like it is from West By God, by way of J.C. Witless.
Bah...blame Google. Still a Cadillac and came up on the query for ZZ Top Cadillacs.
Yep - and that era Sedanette is a good looking car in stock or customized condition.
My next door neighbor in Santa Clara used one as his daily driver well into the '80s. Ah, California dreamin'...
Of course I would prefer the Buick Sedanette with the toothy grill and the straight 8 - now that was a car!
Apropos to the convo re: ZZ Top (circa 1975)
Because I'm all about continuing conversation and sometimes presenting offerings.
Sorry, CORRECTION: 1976.
That error really was just a typo--a a ham-handed finger striking the wrong key, just one key off.
