I still cannot get most vids to run. Frustrating. I'll assume the Dole is bad and the other is good. I like the organic Dole bananas they have at Trader Joes. Though lately - they have been terrible. The best bananas in the world are home-grown apple-bananas. Not easy when you don't live in the tropics.

"Na-nas" are the best of all fruits, with raspberries coming in a close 2nd. I can't grow bananas here, but if I could...same problem: I used to have a large array of raspberry bushes....never, ever, could pick the fruit from them and make it to the house with any left. Why yes, I am an obsessive ....

Ricpic, that is a genius observation. Not necessarily true, I think an argument could be made for peaches. But now you owe us a banana poem.
For my best fruit nomination it's a tie between bananas and strawberries. But apples and oranges are hard to beat, also.
My favorite fruit bowl is fresh figs and ripe strawberries. It seems that fresh figs are available maybe one month each year, maybe less.
