And he did: The 41st president celebrated by going skydiving one last time Thursday morning.
His granddaughter and TODAY contributor Jenna Bush Hager announced the plan on TODAY. His tandem jump took off from Walker's Point, near Kennebunkport, Maine, where the whole family was gathered.

They always seem like a happy family.
The Kennedys minus their polyamory.
I became a fan when he refused to let the press corps call out questions. He made them wait to be called upon.
I will always give Bush 41 credit for his service in a war of wars. No matter my opinion of his politics and policies. His jump is commemorative his jump for life in that war. God bless him.
Well, airborne!
Love that guy.
I miss having a competent President who doesn't hate America.
If he jumped by himself on landing his legs would snap . You can jump out of a plane with your dog and pull the same feat. pfffft.
Seeing that endearingly sentimental photo of the pre-jump hug between grand-daughter and grand-father caused me to recall that it's never inappropriate to say goodbye.
One of the tenets of Bokononism, if I'm not mistaken.
Hard not to appreciate his wisdom in avoiding a march on Baghdad.
One headline I read was that GHWB went skydiving for the 8th time.
Uh, yeah, 8. Maybe 8 this century. Probably a few more when HE WAS FIGHTING IN WWFUCKINGII!!

I do not know how a new comment was posted as my older comment, but no matter, the import is the same.
The tenure of Republican Presidents is generally revised upwards. See Coolidge, Eisenhower, Reagan, and now Bush, the elder. Obama is presently making Bush the younger look like Percles.....The Bush brand is dependable. There's something trustworthy and decent about them. You could do worse than Jeb Bush.
