Did you mean to say, you know who I am?

Guess what? I would like to announce that I am the proud father of a baby petunia bud.

And it will be a flower tomorrow. These are fast.

I also transplanted most the tomatoes, and chiles that started from seeds, and cilantro and parsley all growing in pots.

But it is 32℉ low this morning so they must come in. But they go back out first thing when the sun comes up. I'm right there, man, waiting. Sun, pow, out.

I realized at length and with some frustration, seeds from jalapeños will not grow.

Why?

Because they are green, unripe, not fully developed, incapable of activating incomplete dna chain. But if I would find red ones, or old green ones ready to turn, or starting to turn red, jalapeños allowed to ripen to red, then their seeds will be fully developed and those will work. Therefore, the chiles that are growing are habaneros. This here is what you call deductive reasoning.

That is where you have facts that lead to a solid conclusion.

The opposite of deductive reasoning is inductive reasoning, and that is where you have a principle or a belief and you look for items that support it and dismiss items that do not. Inductive reasoning seeks evidence to support a premise to deliver a probable conclusion, whereas deductive reasoning, the kind shown here, seeks definite proof. This is my Opie onion, and I have a stick in it.

Mickey Rooney was good in A Midsummer Night's Dream as Puck.

I guess he did some other work after that.

He did a great job in Requiem for a Heavyweight, as did the entire cast.

A much better actor than generally thought.
