“I got a letter and it was like please cancel all transactions, please fix your automatic pay account and make sure everything’s taken care of by May 11,” Presley told XBIZ. “I called them and they told me that because I am, I guess, public and am recognizable in the adult business, they’re closing my account. Even though I don’t use my account, it’s my personal account that I’ve had since I was 18, when it was Washington Mutual before Chase bought them out.”CNBC via Twitter

Filthy dirty lucre.
Banks and the federal government be all up in your business now.
Well, it's not like they lead dissolute lives or something.
The bill-counting machines get all gummed up, is the problem.
Tainted money... Eric beat me to it.
The banks don't want to become splooge stooges.
Come on, someone had to say it.
Also, shouldn't this count as restraint of trade?
She just has to say she is gay and they can't close the account. She can claim she is going to deposit the checks from her same sex marriage and the bank will be prohibited from refusing her business.
Isn't that how it is supposed to work?
I thought business owners didn't have any rights anymore?
Safe you kidding, Trooper? These are BANKS we are talking about. They can do ANYTHING they want.
Damn autocorrect.
I'm not believing this until we hear from Bago.
A new twist on the term bankable star.
Some banks are getting weird.
My sister sent her daughter to make a cash deposit to her, my sister's account via a teller.
My niece was turned away, even though she had all the information. The teller told her there was a new policy. My sister would have to make deposits to her account herself.
