Because I suffer from rosacea, I've had to cut back severely on drinking, unless I want to live with a bright red, ever expanding nose.
Since I don't buy wine much any more, that means I don't cook with wine often.

I had the chef's homemade bread pudding after the chicken. Exquisite as well.
I used saki tonight.
And I'm almost out of that.
My parents never cooked with wine.
Tonight I used gyros that I bought by the pound from a nearby restaurant. I'm disappointed because it is not all that great. Kind of tough. It seems a careless batch. I was not enjoying it that much as simply gyros with its tziaziki . Use for breakfasts and the like. Then tonight I doused the last of it in sake and let 'er rip. Bubbled all over and started to disappear then dumped in the beef broth. The remaining alcohol permeates the liquid and everything added right down to the molecule. Every vegetable added blends almost immediately exchanging flavors facilitated by the vaporous remnant alcohol. Plus it contributes its own flavor while carrying all intermingled flavors throughout. Marriage of flavors. Like a shotgun wedding.

Two successive Illinois coaches, Weber and Groce, have been obsessed with recruiting black guys from the Chicago public leagues, and have ignored white guys from the suburbs and downstate.
Why? I won't try to guess.
But, you can't help but notice the anomaly of Wisconsin fielding a starting five featuring four white guys.
And, Illinois has been destroyed by the misdeeds of black guys who were supposed to be NBA first round draft picks, like Jereme Richmond, who's now in jail.
Bo Ryan is a very smart guy.
He's recruiting guys who actually want to be in college.
Kaminsky is a junior. A guy with his size and skills remaining on the college level for three years is now an amazing thing.
