That was a sad thread that deborah linked to -- well, at least the way it ended. R&B got so upset at bagoh20. I hope some of it was staged, because otherwise it seems like a terrible waste.
Chick, skimmed it just now, and it really did go south. At the time of posting I was basking in the glow of the radiant chickiosity of the quoted phrase.
I know about 10 people that really went to Woodstock. They actually bought tickets. I had to work so I didn't go. They all said Sly stole the show. The film corroborates that.

"furtive unprotected spurting". Please discuss.
Yuck! Do we have to?
Everything really went to hell for Sly. Living in the back of his car at one point. The music biz does that to people.
His band continued without him.
I saw them at, of all places, Disneyland in Florida a few years ago.
All that remained of the original band was a trumpet player.
Cocaine did that to Sly, not his line of work.
D'oh!
Back when I was a kid, and gung-ho about the music biz, my daddy told me that I would be wise to consider having a backup plan.
Thanks, Dad. Best advice anybody ever gave me.

I'm not sure there is a distinction to be made here between the cocaine biz and the music biz.
I've never been able to tell where one stops and the other begins.

Don't know where the line is precisely, but when you're cutting someone up with a chainsaw you're definitely on the cocaine side of the line.
And shouldn't this be an "WLEM AM in the AM" post?
Yes, Icepick, it should.
What gives, deborah?

I see friends shaking hands, saying 'how do you do' they're really saying 'I love you.'

Here is the perfect sextagenarian soul equivalent to The Beatles' "When I'm 64"
Rockin' Chair
I just wanted to say that I really like the shade of red you see all over the place around Valentine's day.
Ritmo is obsessed with bad economics, and that is pretty sad.
Great tune, chick, thanks.
I heart Valentine's Day. Red, pink, and white rock.

Wonder what happened to Cynthia and Jerry .... I hope they turned into squares and went home. As opposed to the alternative.
