Squirrels, Rabbits, Blue Jays, and Mockingbirds

My favorite scene from an old classic:

The clip cuts off too soon and should have included how Calpurnia calls Scout into the kitchen and proceeds to give her a lecture on hospitality: Walter was a guest and therefore could do whatever he wanted to do. The absentee mothering that Calpurnia did was underplayed in the movie, IMO. Maybe it was too controversial/suggestive for movies in 1962?

Syrup. The title needs syrup to be complete.

Squirrels, Rabbits, Blue Jays, Mockingbirds and Syrup.

chickenlittle, it would not be overstatement to say your posts always lead somewhere.

This one went to: Leave the Sirrup Alone

I received a squirrel feeder for Christmas. An Audubon Cedar Squirrel Feeder, which is a wooden box with a lid that a squirrel can learn to lift in order to get to the peanuts inside. According to the reviews, one guy had a squirrel that not only figured out how to lift the door, but also how to lift the front plexiglass piece to free the whole batch at once.

I haven't tried it out yet because the ground's been too hard to get the post in for the box. I'm interested to see how it works.
