@SpiderAnderson Break a leg tomorrow! Hopefully not yours!

Turns excruciatingly braking true for the wish.e. (do not click the links if you squeamish easily)
Silva, after being decked by a first-round right hand by champion Chris Weidman, tried a second-round left kick that Weidman (11-0) blocked with his own left shin. What's puzzling to me is the neck breaking? speed of RT @TimReuben (the well wisher) is getting. At one point I tracked at over 100 a minute.
The impact of the contact broke Silva's lower left leg, bending it as he crashed to the mat and screamed in agony while Weidman was declared the repeat winner 1:16 into the round at MGM Grand.
What is it?... A virtual rubber necking?... A desire to believe?

Not quite as disturbing as the Sid Vicious broken leg from the 1990s, but still pretty bad. Not hidden when viewed on a mobile device, btw.
I watched a short video of this fight early this morning, but the kick wasn't in it. Silva was getting beaten before this happened.
And well he should have been beaten - he can't even spell the name of his home country.
That would be like not knowing how many states there are in the US. Makes you wonder about someone's intelligence and background, just sayin'...
AllenS, Silva has often found himself losing in a fight only to win. He has had the best chin in the business for some time, and his resiliency has been a part of his legend.
That's true, Ice, but Weidman knocked him out in their last fight. Also, maybe Brazil is spelled Brasil down there. You know how foreigners are. Italians can't even spell Italy.
I KNOW!!!
And those danged Frenchies have a different word for everything!
Then there's Royce Gracie. They completely fuck up the R pronunciation.
Weidman did knock him out in the first fight. That's also the first time that happened, and that after an old Silva offered him the chin and let himself get hit. Silva just got old, and eventually his buffoonery and a great young fighter caught up with him. He's still the GOAT, however, especially with GSP's recent disappointing fight and retirement. Maybe Bones will catch him eventually, but I doubt it
Are there any Brazilians NOT named Silva?
Pele?
I don't care to watch, but I guess most of you have seen this one:

The Gracie family and the Machidas. Other than that they're all Silvas.
