You can tell quite a bit about someone by evaluating the evidence they believe sufficient to confirm their preferences or deny their opponents. This guys believes a handful tough Obama questions - almost always because he isn't left enough - proves no media bias exists towards Democrats? It's laughable.
In fact making blanket exonerations from such flimsy non-evidence is a primary indicator of bias.
It's how Little Zero's gotten by since he was 10.
Cokie Roberts, of course, is part of just one of the large DC politcial families like the Kennedys and the Bushes and the Clintons and soon the Obamas- she came to DC from Louisiana and never left.
I was at a gathering yesterday with a bunch of old union construction workers and they all bitched about the old, corrupt long-serving leaders of their respective unions. I said "it's just like politics and journalism- a bunch of family dynasties who treat the govt / or the news or the union like it it their own family business".
Steve Roberts isn't always such a dope. Back in June, for instance, he actually said this in a discussion about the gay marriage rulings:
"What's missing often in TV newsrooms: there are plenty of gays, there are very few people of faith and very few evangelical Christians who in their own beliefs would be against gay marriage. And this has always bothered me."

Cokie Roberts is a precious person and she knows it. If her father had not died in office, no one would have ever heard of her, and she knows that too. She is trying to make the best of it, and her husband is too.

He reminds me of Richard Cohen, the WaPo columnist, who's less intelligent and more ignorant than 200 unpaid political writers on the internet.
