Tim Tebow Cut... Again.
The Tim Tebow Experience is over in New England.
Tebow was released by the team Saturday, ending another chapter in the 2007 Heisman Trophy winning quarterback's wandering pro career, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport was told by a source informed of the move.
Despite the requisite fervor draped upon Tebow's every move, it's far from a surprising transaction if the Patriots intended to fill their 53-man roster with the best players available. With Ryan Mallett firmly in place as Tom Brady's backup, Tebow played himself out of the role during an underwhelming preseason.
Tebow was signed in June, a move that made some sense considering the presence of offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels -- Tebow's former Denver Broncos coach who drafted him in 2010 -- and Bill Belichick, whose affinity for University of Florida players is well-documented.
Still, the Patriots needed to see Tebow develop as a quarterback in time for the regular season, and he didn't come close: His 11-of-30 passing performance over three preseason appearances netted just 145 yards, with a pair of touchdowns and two picks.

"We knew Tim Tebow would find a place where he can be utilized for all of his football skills." - Said all Tebow Fans.
Ouch.

I wouldn't mind seeing my Chiefs pick him up -- as a fullback. The guy's a winner, and a big athletic presence. But he's not an NFL level QB.
Oh, and: First.
The thing is Tebow was a lot worse this preseason than he was in Denver. I think sitting for a year in NY really hurt his development and the Patriots had no need to wait for him to catch up.
He's never going to be Peyton Manning, but he's a lot better than most of the other guys holding the clipboard this year. It's a shame teams are afraid of someone because he's such a good person.
Tim Tebow is a class act. Football? Not so much.
Pasta, You're a Chief's fan? I sold beer @ Arrowhead and later was a season tix holder. It was the dark days of the mid 70's to early 80's.
Tebow is kind of like the black QB's of or so years ago. Not good enough to play NFL QB, but a great football player. Like Pasta said, find a spot for him. The guys a playmaker and he is trying to "pray out the gay."
Next step, the CFL!
He'd make a good tight end. No! Nothing sexual at all. Just he's big enough to block and he runs well. A tight end. You guys.
If the backup QB situation in Green Bay gets any worse, the Pack should pick him up.
Haz, I would cut the loser, Vince Young, and pick Tebow up today!
Sixty, The CFL is a good idea.
Nick - Exactly my thoughts.
Keep First alive Pasta.
I'm going to keep First alive if its the Last thing I'll ever do.

Why liberals hate Tim Tebow.
Liberals hate God and have daddy issues - that's why.
Tebow will be picked up by no one. He's finished and that is a shame.
