Egypt

Purp on Ace has a link to BBC coverage on a chemical attack and remarks it looks good and some of the victims do seem a bit cyanotic, and one guy is shown having muscle spasms, signs of nerve agent.

Purp notes another doctor talking about using up thousands of doses of atropine to treat nerve agent victims. But then in the next paragraph deflates all that by saying other things can ruin your day too then lists a few automobile-related snags.

And that reminded me of a video I came across last night while roaming around online.

English language is usually a sign that the intended audience is the Chris Matthews crowd.

Of course it could also be a double fake fake with a twist, shaken, not stirred.

Is that an MSNBC live feed? Or a stage set in back of the Rachel Maddow show?

History tells us that the policies of the Egyptian government won't change until you get to the tenth plague.

If there's one place in the world where you don't need to manufacture atrocities, it's the Middle East. I guess you can get better lighting and camera angles if you stage them, but for splatter and anguish you can't beat the real thing.

Usually it's tough to know who to root for, but, if the Choom Gang is for them, you go the other way.

Can we ever forget Peter Arnett standing in front of the "Bomb Shelter" sign in Baghdad?

Even then, Chuck Heston still has to roll out his staff and let the tide out.

I noticed in some of the early photos of the "dead" from chemical attacks all appeared to have lots of color. Absolutely no signs of the ashen grey appearance of dead people. I'll worry about Syria when they learn how to use B-movie Zombie make-up.

By the way, if you want to see muscle spasms, find an narcotic addict and ask them if they have epilepsy.

Materials implicating the forces of Syrian president Bashar Assad in chemical weapons use near Damascus were prepared prior to the alleged incident on August 21, the Russian foreign ministry said.
