Bradley Manning willl be eligible for parole in just 9 years.
He betrayed his country and his oath by committing espionage. In other eras, he would have been shot. Instead he might be out before his 35th birthday, because he'll be eligible for parole after serving just one-third of his 35 year sentence, and he gets credit for the 3 years he's already served.

Why do they even use the 35 year number. It's not possible he will ever serve that. It's a bold faced lie, put in writing, by a court, published around the world. A big fucking lie, just like every sentence handed down except death or life without parole.
I wonder how the victims of his treason are faring.

Look at the bright side. Maybe they still have that ceremony like in the movies where the guy has to stand at attention and some officer rips the insignia from his uniform.
He's just too high profile to make parole first time up. What ideally annoys me is that the US Army will be stuck with the bill for his sex change operation.
I hear tell that the lesbians in prison are nastier than the homos in prison when it comes to sexual cruelty so he might want to mull that one over.
One good thing...now that his punk ass is dishonorably discharged I will no longer have to see the little man-cunt in current photos wearing the uniform I wore.
