Some of them may include...
1. Alfred Nobel considered himself a failure.
12. The nonprofit Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) has monitored the skies for alien communication for 53 years, and scientists have yet to hear a single word.
16. One failure leads to another. The Three Mile Island nuclear power plant in Pennsylvania went into partial meltdown after someone spilled a cup of water.
17. The dumped water triggered a safety fuse, which shut down a coolant pump, causing the reactor to overheat.
18. Nobody noticed the overheating because the warning light was covered by a repair tag. D’oh!Disclaimer: in case of failure to verify the claims of failure on this post, if any blame or fault attaches to the attempt, it is mine alone. Including my attempt to decipher Eisenhower's writing, so that I could use it here, in a way some may conclude trivial.

Those inspirational speaker-type guys are always reminding us that Marie Curie tried thousands of different filaments before she finally invented the telephone.
Failure is nature's way of keeping things from happening.
Failure- thy name is Hillary.
"An Illinois Republican congressman told constituents at a town hall meeting on Wednesday that then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton screamed at a fellow member of Congress two days after a U.S. diplomatic station in Benghazi, Libya was destroyed, merely for saying aloud that the attack was carried out by terrorist groups..
The Obama administration later acknowledged that reality."
...Along with Obama's giant media bodyguard, Candy Crowley.
The lying screaming screeching banshee. The left-networks like NBC, they loves her.
The 21st thing .... failure succeeds....it is a virtue. If you've done nothing, succeeded at nothing, what's to criticize? Absolute losers can be elected President or appointed Secretary of State.
April Apple ... what astounds me is that virtually no one in mass media has questioned the Benghazi story of who knew what when.
On blogs the subject of "Critic" messages [CRITICOMM system] have been mentioned and discussed, with Roger J providing great details.
Gen Carter Hamm said [in the article you cite]:
Gen. Carter Ham (R) later said the military and the White House knew otherwise almost instantly
He was referring to the Critic Message that landed on every significant desk in Washington, and around the world at military stations, within 10 to 15 minutes of the start of the incident in Benghazi. It was sent by whomever was "officer of the day" or "duty officer" for Benghazi at the time.
We now accept being lied to directly in to our faces as acceptable leadership performance. There is just no other way this can happen. Apparently the majority of us drunk the Kool Aid.

What car is the dildo of automobiles?

Aridog - Our media are unprofessional, one-sided, pro-democrat party - hacks. It is not bias, it's beyond bias.
This is what everything comes back to.
America does not have an honest press.
Somewhat OT .... Does anyone else wonder why our government is not supporting the Egyptian Military in this mess over there? Morsi, the Muslim Brotherhood candidate, was elected and within 30 days began governing by fiat, autocracy not democracy, and the Military said enough.
In other words, Islamic fanatics were removed from office because they were about to crush the very democracy they took advantage of to get elected.
We have a problem with that?

"America" does not demand an honest press. Why would we expect one?
Even if we demanded honesty, the Hillary media matters mentality overwhelms. Once the corruption set in, and the bigwigs on top of the major networks got in bed, demands no longer matter.
I demand an honest press!
*crickets*
Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses Grant were failures at almost everything they did.
As a result of Wednesday's bloodshed, the Obama administration is being forced to walk an increasingly difficult path between critics at home and its allies overseas. Growing numbers of lawmakers on Capitol Hill, both Democrats and Republicans, are demanding the White House formally designate Mr. Morsi's overthrow as a coup d'état, which would trigger the U.S. withholding $1.3 billion in annual aid to the Egyptian military...
Washington's closest allies in the Middle East, including Israel, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, meanwhile, don't want the U.S. to cut off support.
Israel has argued to the Obama administration that support for the Egyptian military is a fundamental part of the Egyptian-Israeli peace agreement. Arab leaders, meanwhile, believe the Muslim Brotherhood poses a threat to secular governments throughout the region.

Failure, especially economic failure, is essential in a healthy society -- just as death is absolutely necessary to evolution.
Failure is a great spur, maybe the greatest spur, to try again and get it right this time!
Aridog. Observing that forces you to formulate a theory. It is a very good question that you ask. So what is your answer?
I learned at cocktail parties when someone asks a political question that is their gentle gracious way of introducing the subject so that they can tell you what they think. So please do, tell us what you think.

Okay, goes like this: the Party propounding Smart Diplomacy®™ triangulated on the Strong Horse®™, looking at Egyptian parties and seeing one far more advanced in organization than all others, in contact with their US counterparts for decades, moreover seeing themselves, doing the same thing as themselves but in their own land, using democratic process and their positions within government to bypass democratic process for dictatorial control, US diplomacy went with Muslim Brotherhood Party, all their eggs in that basket. However unfortunate, all their thinking aligned with Muslim Brotherhood. It is all Muslim Brotherhood-inked organizations within the US that have contact with WH and State.
I conclude their triangulation considers Egyptian military as dangerous to their plans as our own military is to their plans for us here, as we observe the alarming militarization of police forces across the US such as seen in Boston where the population lauds their own cowering behavior as most civilized of all, and resembling the behavior of the town citizens in that spaghetti western mentioned here a few days ago.

Chip Ahoy ... no, I have no special concept to expound on vis a vis Egypt. My concept is simply support the Egyptian military, period.
I really do want to hear what others think, what I think is likely illegal. I'm wondering if I am odd.
**[Okay, on this subject...never mind all the rest, damnit!]**
Ockham's Razor again. Said military has been responsible for more peaceful initiative than the rest of the Middle East combined, with Jordan in second place.
BTW...

...I agree with you that we in the USA are staggering under a similar false democracy where a "new civilian force" is being assembled as we speak...as in "FEMA Corps."
I used to work with FEMA regularly. They were primarily a funding provision agency with some oversight of expenditures by other agencies....who staffed all the field work.
NOW FEMA'nistas are blood $ucker$ ... they have formed their own acquisition corps, since GSA, DLA, and USACE aren't good enough for them, never mind being good enough for the Pentagon and every other agency in the country. Now they form up their civilian corps of "enforcement" personnel, and equipment, in accordance with Obama's stated goal in 2008. Boston? Pshaw...that was essentially a voluntary action...in the very near future it won't be voluntary.
I lived in Detroit, worked in the rioting area, drove past tanks firing on apartment buildings, during the 1967 riots and saw what urban marital law can look like. That was US Army personnel. I am not looking forward to some chubby ill trained civilians militarily equipped directing my activities.
Are you saying we will face that here sooner than later?
Can't wait until President Hillary! brings her chops to bear and bestows the same sort of glorious success upon the U.S. as she has upon the Middle East. And I say that as somebody who would have voted for her back in the day....
