KLEM FM

The video is short and not at all a hagiography. Credit due is paid up front. What I really like is that it gets to what I've been trying to say here previously regarding Bonham. The musical notation in the video makes several points quite clearly, if you can keep up.

Deal with it.

Muse - Uprising

Link to video

The paranoia is in bloom, the P-R
Transmissions will resume
They'll try to push drugs
That keep us all dumbed down and hope that
We will never see the truth around
(So come on)

Another promise, another scene,
Another package lie to keep us trapped in greed
With all the green belts wrapped around our minds
And endless red tape to keep the truth confined
(So come on)

They will not force us
They will stop degrading us
They will not control us
We will be victorious
(So come on)

Sunday Morning With Van Morrison

See if you can pick out a word here and there; it adds to the pleasure of listening to true genius.

The western world is filled with people who believe every word ever sung by Bob Dylan is magic, profound, and important. Those people are the paleo-hippies; standing at their walkers, singing along to All Along The Watchtower and Tangled Up In Blue as if the very code of life was in Dylan's lyrics. It isn't, sorry.

But Van Morrison, now that's a different thing. That's where the beauty and relevance are. That's where the phrase "trapped in the sixties" has never belonged, like it belongs to the Dylan acolytes. The Dylan acolytes; you can see them riding into a concert venue on their weasel scooters, wearing their Hunter S. Thompson drugged gazes, though not revealing that the drugs are now synthroid and statins.

Enjoy the music, enjoy the blessings of the day.

Sunday Morning With Van Morrison

She's as sweet as Tupelo honey.  She's an angel of the first degree.

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Canticle Of The Turning

Or a more secular version if you prefer.
