LANSING, Mich. — On Aug 8, Governor Gretchen Whitmer issued the following statement after testing positive for COVID-19.
“This evening, I tested positive for COVID-19.
“Thankfully, I am only experiencing mild symptoms after being fully vaccinated and twice boosted...I encourage my fellow Michiganders to get vaccinated and boosted.”
No word yet on whether she'll be checking into an area nursing home if her symptoms worsen.
