And I have no idea what it really is.
Everybody's heard how the Justices put a stake through the heart of abortion in TX. The law bans abortions after about six weeks of pregnancy – a time when many people do not yet know they are pregnant – and allows private citizens to sue anyone who helps a patient get an abortion. What's fascinating is that, though Roberts remained true to form, Trump's picks all came through.
Demos are panicking that a full-on rejection of Roe may be in store next June. That would be a ruling on the order of Brown v Board of Ed if it happens and a major rejection of Demo agitprop.
A week ago, they blocked the administration from enforcing the latest federal moratorium on evictions and rejected the administration’s plea for a reprieve from a district-court order requiring it to reinstate a Trump-era program known as the “remain in Mexico” policy. Both were 6-3.
This is the Court we thought we had. Why now?
Did A-stan make it safe to buck the Demos?
Is that revolution over the lockdown and CRT and a lot of other things making itself heard?
Even worse, is Trump planning a return?
As I say, think Fall is going to be fun.
PS A follow-up to the piece on Red China. You may or may not think that vid is a big deal, but here's a follow-up quoting the party daily essentially stating a return to the Cultural Revolution. I can't go with everything he says, he may be going a tad overboard in some of what he says, but he quotes the piece and it sounds like the Reds really may be contemplating war against the West.
Gonna keep my ear to the ground on this. And watch what the Lefties do. This, if true, is big stuff.

It seems the Chinese are doing pretty good with the land and businesses they own here. How would it benefit them to start a war with us?

But which Chinese cohort? Probably the wealthier, more capitalist cohort and not the corrupt PRC state-fellators.
FWIW, the Reds are having baskets of problems back home with stuff we'd expect would be good.
The issue is the old hardliners (of which Shih is one) are apparently taking over and turning the country inward. And all that Western contact is seen as subversive.
It's a little like all the Moslems the Demos import. About a third fall away from the faith very quickly (yeah, the kids) once they taste the freedom here.
The issue of a war has been one for 20 years or so. Remember they have all those males and no females. Gotta find something to keep them occupied.
Keeping an ear to the ground is the way to go. Major changes are coming. Order, disorder, reorder is the age-old pattern humans follow, with more disorder on the way before the reordering happens.
It's of no benefit to China to engage in "war" with the US right now. Not when they already own as much of it as they do in the form of real estate, businesses, and politicians riddled with secrets and greed; and have the leverage needed to keep pulling strings to their advantage. Physical warfare will most likely show up in places closer to home where they can attempt to isolate, dominate and control the people and the terrain, and coerce the US into remaining uninvolved.
Never thought ed would quote a Crosby, Stills and Nash song.
For what it's worth, it's my guess edutcher most likely had his ear to the ground back in 67 when the quoted lyric, written by Stills, was first sung by Buffalo Springfield. Unless he was deaf or minus a radio it would have been hard to miss some of those good (and bad) vibrations back then!
Mama's right about war. The Reds want to stifle all those Western ideas and, much like Hitler, a return to martial virtues is often the way such cultures go.
As an example, Japan is setting up measures to come to Nationalist China's aid in the wake of the Reds' provocations. If you're old enough to remember Quemoy and Matsu, you know what I mean when I say everything old is new again.
The problem is, the Reds have been talking war for at least 20 years and making a lot of moves in that direction (artificial islands, etc.) and, if history is a guide, when you have that kind of establishment, there is an almost irresistible temptation to use it. And the Reds have been very specific about a showdown with the US over who controls the Pacific. This is all well and good as long as the Reds pay off the UniParty and put people like Willie, Zippy, and the lying dogfaced pony soldier in the Rainbow House, but what happens should somebody who put America First and has no qualms striking the snake at its head occupy the White House? If you've ever read anything about the Mexican Revolution or Japan in the 50 years before Pearl Harbor, you know what comes next.
PS FWIW was supposed to be about the '68 Demo convention (There's a man with a gun over there Telling me I got to beware). Dan Blather getting frogmarched off the convention floor, Bill Buckley telling Gore Vidal to go take a flying leap, some of my few good memories about that period.
A couple of verses impressed me
There's battle lines being drawn
Nobody's right if everybody's wrong
Young people speaking their minds
Getting so much resistance from behind
What a field day for the heat (Ooh ooh ooh)
A thousand people in the street (Ooh ooh ooh)
Singing songs and they carrying signs (Ooh ooh ooh)
Mostly say, "Hooray for our side" (Ooh ooh ooh)
The Lefties were so sure of themselves, but Stills actually did stop, look around, and ask what's going down. Nice to see somebody actually think, for a change.
