SENATOR RAND PAUL (R-KY) - The most valuable politician in America

I have resisted taking this bogus vaccine to this point. Unfortunately I might have to do it since it is becoming impossible to operate in NYS without it. I could get a phony passport like several of my friends have but I have to worry about the people in the house who might get it if I do.

I am vulnerable to blood clots. I have to take a blood thinner so taking a vaccine that throws f clots is not something I want to do. But we are going to some weddings and other events that require a vaccination. We have been staying home but eventually we are forced to interact with other people so I guess I have to bite the bullet and take a shot.

After all the fucked up places I have been in my life it will be very ironic if a vaccine takes me out. If nobody posts here for a few weeks you will know that Fauci did me in.

I respect what Rand Paul is saying but he is barking up the wrong tree. Not enough people will resist. Not in deep blue states anyway. So if you are a prisoner here like me you have no choice. You have to conform to the Borg or be obliterated.

But I wish all of you who live in free states well and hope you can continue to fight for our freedoms.

Wolverines! (Or ... Badgers?!? Or something.)

It's a surreal to think that people would actually consider submitting to government-required permission to leave your house. Ol' George (take your 3-cent tea tax and shove it) Washington must be rolling in his grave to see what a bunch of pussies we've become.

Most of the poor fools who post at your meal tickets blog have no idea what kind of person you are Meade.

Thanks for showing us once again.

His meal ticket has been sleeping for hours and he's up after 1a being a petty pest. That's very unhealthy.

Agree Rand is a much better Senator than Dad.

Only about 1/3 of the country's gotten the shot and about 1/2 the new cases are people with the shot (if not more). Most doctors and nurses won't get it because they know what it is.

From one of the guys who developed it by no means trivial' side effects, including 'serious cardiac and thrombotic conditions, menstrual cycle disruptions, Bell's Palsy, Guillain Barre syndrome, and anaphylaxis. And that doesn't count messing with your DNA.

Whatever you do, don't get your info from Fake News.

The Lefties are losing on this and need to keep people scared. Thus, all the "variants".

It took 10 years before the people get fed up. Stamp Act was passed in 1765. These things take time. Everybody's ox must be gored and Joe and the Ho, with the help of Pelosi Galore, are doing it in record time.

What's important is Trump showed people that they could win.

The imperious tone is intriguing. It's almost as though someone's looking for a blog to run.

Imperious: assuming power or authority without justification; arrogant and domineering.

I was surprised the first time it came through. That was eight years ago, after Levity had been set up as a "comment home" for displaced Althouse commenters to gather, when the person who started the new blog was told, under the guise of a deal, what names couldn't/shouldn't be mentioned if he didn't want trouble and retribution to follow. The same tone came through again, with another gust of self-righteousness, when another deal went south after an artist temporarily lost his footing and found himself in need of grace. And it showed up a third time here after a fellow commenter shared personal information about a life situation and asked for help finding footing. Who knows what prompted this fourth round of blog management?

Apparently using an imperious tone to tell others how to manage their finances, their sobriety, their vaccinations, their lifestyles and their blog seems like the manly or right thing to do. Ooof! I can't imagine Althouse finding that form of juvenile bullying attractive, or thinking it reflects well on her or her "brand", but maybe she does. I find it repellant.

Appreciating the update and encouragement, edutcher. Yes, the people need to find their footing again as well. And I believe they will.

Uh oh. Now I’ve done it. I’ve repelled the queen herself —MamaM. I must have used the wrong fork, spoke out of turn, failed to bow long enough, low enough.

Worse yet, there's a good possibility the named figurehead from the inner world prompting these odd ruminations, the Queen Herself, might actually represent someone much closer to home.
