The eerie moment the guns fell silent

Metro U.K. has what they purport to be the moment the war ended.
The artillery activity it illustrates was recorded on the American front near the River Moselle, one minute before and one minute after the war ended.
It's a recording of one minute of heavy gunfire then suddenly nothing and one minute of silence.

Right. Then the birds tweeted. Nice touch.

We were lucky. Most of our guys only saw about 4 or 5 moths' combat.
