Roy Clark, 1933 - 2018

What a great talent. Blazing speed, great virtuosity, and a marvelous sense of humor. What an entertaining musician.

Of course this bit would not be allowed these days, and more's the pity.

R.I.P. Roy.

Junior Samples: What'd the judge lock up Stan Hawkins for?

Roy Clark: Bigotry, he had three wives.

Junior Samples: That's not bigotry, that's....tripa....trema....troga....

Grandpa Jones: That's trigonometry!

SixtyG your access to a varied and unusual collection of music and musical events holds me in awe, with a smile of appreciation for this one, as it stands as another fine tribute to the gifts of another.

I watched a lot of "Hee Haw" growing up and Roy Clark was a big part of that. I also enjoyed the big parts of Lisa Todd, and Gunilla Hutton.

Couple of things to notice here:

1. So much talent that they both play effortlessly.

2. They're both having FUN FUN FUN.

Good stuff.

I agree Tank - they loved what they were doing and it showed. Great entertainers make it look easy.

I didn't watch a lot of Hee-Haw, but I always admired Roy's playing - that boy could pick and grin.
