Rocks thrown by migrants will be considered firearms by United States.

How 'bout them  apples?

I meant to say, "terms of engagement."

That's the thing about Trump. In each given situation he thinks in terms of winning. What are his opponents weaknesses? Use them! What are his strengths? Use them! He engages fully and plays his winning hand and he doesn't care what his opponents think about balance of forces. Plus he thinks of winning in terms of economy; the most win at the least cost, while sparing no cost in money, time and attention. He doesn't allow his opponents to define the terms.

All the Trump haters are thinking in terms of how the U.S. can lose.

Compare and contrast recent past president and the differences are stunning.

Story at Daily Caller. Also video, a very good one actually, where journalists, a bit shocked at what they are hearing, challenge Trump who then explains with exquisite patience as if speaking to non-comprehending children, and with brilliant clarity.

Of course, Trump is speaking to the world, to Europe, to Asia, to South America, and to the immigrants. And especially to his constituency who are eager to support him. Much like the American embassy in Israel relocating to Jerusalem, Trump is showing Carter, Bush Sr. Bush Jr. Clinton, and Obama how things are done and his supporters adore him for it. They've been aching to see this their whole lives.

The end of the video is the best.

Trump's rhetorical conduplicatio is fascinating. He's all over the place with his repetitions. Trump's form of repetition comprise Trump's unique speaking style. Listen for each instance of repetition. He repeats the first words and phrases of clauses, anaphora. He repeats the middle words and phrases of clauses, mesodiposis. He repeats the ending words and phrases of clauses, anadiplosis. He repeats the beginning at the end of the next clause, epanalepsis. He compresses his blended repetitions so confusingly he actually sounds daft, a form of stuttering, organizing on the fly, where he's actually pre-organized and emphasizing points emphatically in non-standard English so his sentences are insensibly diagramed as speech by an addled intelligence, while he's anything but. That's what is so fascinating.

[rhetorical repetition]

In the end, it will be Mattis, not Trump, who writes any special ROE.

This is for the idiot media and any faint hearts, mostly. Mexico has warned us the second group is a lot more violent and this is their warning. By the time they get to the border, the elections will be over and a few dead gangbangers (if it comes to that, which I doubt) won't matter to most.

Dr Evil wants an incident, an Amritsar or Waco. Trump isn't going to give him one, but if the savages start acting that way, they won't have much time to regret it.

I watched the whole video. There's nothing I can add that you didn't already say a hundred times better, Chip.
