One of his brags got a laugh. That's what most reports lead with. And that's where some reports begin and end, that being the only thing that they heard worth reporting, having heard it then able to dismiss all the rest. It's something that works very well at his rallies, less so to a world audience.
Then it occurred to me his rally audience laughs too, and that's one of the things that makes those rallies fun to attend and to watch. You would think world leaders listening might think again if there's there's something behind such bold brags, if there's there's something solid behind what's amusing when spoken outright, something they might do themselves, something to emulate like lower taxes, possibly reduce overbearing regulations, possibly repairing bad deals. Hmmm, maybe ... just maybe ... n-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-w.

The Lefties can't stand the idea he connects with people.
He's the best. He just lets it roll off his back with a laugh. Immediate smugness dissipation; I think he even got an appreciation laugh for being so damn cool about it. Either that or that was the noise of hundreds of hacks biting their tongues.

It's unlikely we'll ever have another President this cool. Forget the sycophantic bleatings about his predecessor's "cool" (which was fake and scripted and based on wish fulfillment and camera angles and propaganda) and the constant hysterical noise about chaos and lashings out inside the White House. Trump is the real deal and it's because he's not a lifelong politician and lacks the mentality to self-preserve.

How painful that it is a rarity, a great rarity, for a world leader to speak the truth. Socialism is a catastrophe. Globalism is a catastrophe. And yet it was act of courage for Trump to say that today to "The International Community." Obviously it's about power and Trump is that great rarity, a leader who doesn't want to tighten his grip on you.
Well, as I saw elsewhere, he is the honey badger. He doesn't give a shit. At the worse he retires to an undisclosed location, with Melania and retinue. And, he will have done his best, tried his best, to right this wormed ship. He'll die peaceful, knowing he tried his best.
