Trump faceswap Queen Elizabeth

It's a thing. People are switching out Queen Elizabeth's face and inserting Trump's.

Have a look. They're hilarious.  Click the images tab.

Many more of these at the link.

Photoshop lesson for this follows.

If you would like to try your hand a this allow me to offer a few suggestions.

1) Choose a comical Trump source pic. He's a wonderful subject because his face is so plastic. He makes faces all the time. It's part of his common guy form of communicating. He entertains as he speaks at his rallies and that involves making funny faces.

2) Enlarge the photo to select around it. That way you get very close to the edges. Then feather the selection before copy/paste to give it a soft edge so it doesn't look cut out with scissors.

3) Paste Trumps feathered head over the Queen's face. Tilt and resize to match. Match up the eyes. You want Trump's face and head to extend beyond the queen's hat, hair and dress.

4) Adjust Trump's face to match the queen's background photo in tone, intensity, white balance, so they look like the same photograph as much as possible.

5) Trump's photo is on top of the Queen's photo, once situated properly, resized and tilted just so , turn off the Trump layer so it no longer shows, and select around the queens hat and hair and top of her dress. Feather the selection so the edge is softened.

6) Turn on the Trump layer, click on the Trump layer so the selection that is made around the queen is applied to Trump. This will eliminate from Trump everything under the hat and the queen's hair and underneath her dress.

7) Resize the the whole thing to the appropriate size. For here on Blogger, 500 width would be about maximum.

7) Combine the two layers or simply save as jpg with both layers showing.

Trump is commonly derided as Orange Man, or Cheetos Man and the like. But notice none of these queen photos satirize Trump with intensified orange. (That is very easy to intensify orange by sliding the blue color bar.) Why not? Why not continue by sticking Orange Trump onto the queen's getup? The photos were gently altered to fit the photographs of the queen. Matching the queen's photo, making Trump look like Queen Elizabeth was more important that satirizing Trump's orange complexion, that was noticed earlier during his campaign and exaggerated back then by white balance shifts and separate color adjustments. They wanted Trump to appear as ridiculous as possible. And now they want Trump to look like an old queen.

And he does. Trump really does look like an old queen.

I think that generally the satirists intend to do a bit of harm with this meme of feminizing Trump, but I also think this might backfire and actually make Trump more likable. I feel a bit more affection toward Trump for the ease of this kind of messing around, for the fun it provides. And I don't think that feeling is unique. It's hard to hate someone when you have so much fun with them. And there is nothing inherently objectionable about queen Elizabeth. Except, you know, being a queen.

Do the sexes merge with age? They do, they do.

That is more disturbing than I thought it would be.

Oh My! These are too good! LOL was truly my response. These give me hope for humanity. When the hot of creativity is pressed through difficult circumstances, imagination comes to the rescue and humor flows like olive oil from a press.

It's Good to be Queen!!

Notice how natural the verb “faceswap” sounds. The “correct” spelling is “face swap” but I like the melded version best.

The UK needs more than ever a Trump British character. They have a choice, win or lose, we made the decision and it's been nothing but win, win.

Brilliant! Never thought of him as looking like an old queen, but now you mention it, I can see it. Still more dad prez than old queen prez, of course.

Clearly all that TDS is really going off the map.

Nothing dad prez about him for me, as mentioned here before, of course. Before he was elected however, when other's here were pooh poohing him (with no dad affinity noted) I said he had vitality. He did then and still does. It's that energy that comes through and endures as he plows through wave after wave of opposition.

If there's anyone who looks like they have a stick up their ass, it's the Queen. Adding Trumps facial expressions to her frame creates a contrast that is way fun, plus it works well with his love of Gold, Pomp and Advantageous Circumstance.

Has anyone put the Queen's face on Trump? Would it work in reverse? I don't think so.

I don't see this as TDS. And it doesn't come across to me as him being demeaned as an "old queen". It looks like someone had fun using his facial expressions, which reflect emotional energy and character (and evoke emotion from others), to poke fun of two people who hold recognizable positions of power and prestige. While the intent of doing so may have been to demean Trump, I experienced the results as playful with an slight edge of truth. Trump as prez is required to engage in protocol and serve as a public representative. He's also granted certain privileges and protections to keep him safe that set him apart. The big difference between him and the mostly poker faced Queen (who's mellowed some in recent years) is that he is the son of a carpenter (with the middle name of Christ no less) and a domestic, who were both fortunate enough to have ended up in the US of A, the land of opportunity, "We, the people" and elections.

I was being facetious, Mama.

That's good to know, edutcher! These really hit me a funny--I smile each time I see them and can't pick a favorite.
