Millennials victims of fraud outnumber elderly victims of fraud.

Despite being more technically savvy.

Well, that's interesting.

News Target.
New research shows that young adults aged 18 to 24 are less cautious about online security behavior and are therefore more prone to scams than older people. In fact, more than 80 percent of young people reveal their email address online to friends, who may unwittingly share it with others. This is not as disturbing as the fact that 29 percent reveal their mother’s maiden name (a common security question).
More information at the link along with advice.

Yesterday I got an email saying thank you from i-Tunes for the $200.00 gift card. The page looked real. But the link to click on was bogus and so was the return address.

Still, to be sure, in another window I opened my i-Tunes account to check purchases. There were none. So annoying to be bothered this way.

So I used the provided link to contact them and tell them to go f themselves with my own link to a site for them to buy the equipment to do that.

One is reminded of the German kids who were schooled in the 30s.

They could spot a Jew in a second or knew what art was "decadent", but they could barely do math.

My computer guy's advice is don't click on ANYTHING.

You have to use your brain, as ric notes, something the snowflakes don't seem to like doing.

Millenials are on the internet more than the rest of us so it makes sense.

Just how technically savvy are millennials? Staring at your phone and texting all day shouldn't qualify as expertise.

No, they aren't technically savvy. They can operate technology to an extent. They don't know the inner workings of technology or how things work. They haven't been taught any of that stuff anymore. They are consumers, not producers. They can't fix, repair, understand, troubleshoot anything at all. It either works or doesn't. That's all they know because they aren't taught to think, just to react.
