An admission in Comey's book is bothering a lot of people already.

A line in the NYT book review stands out to a lot of people. They believe that Comey caused Hillary Clinton to lose the election by announcing before the election that she was still under investigation. And now, in his book Comey is admitting the polls showed Hillary would be the next president and that affected his decision. I don't follow his twisting logic, but here it is.
As for his controversial disclosure on Oct. 28, 2016, 11 days before the election, that the F.B. I. was reviewing more Clinton emails that might be pertinent to its earlier investigation, Comey notes here that he had assumed from media polling that Clinton was going to win. He has repeatedly asked himself, he writes, whether he was influenced by that assumption: "It is entirely possible that, because I was making decisions in an environment where Hillary Clinton was sure to be the next president, my concern about making her an illegitimate president by concealing the restarted investigation bore greater weight than it would have if the election appeared closer or if Donald Trump were ahead in all polls. But I don't know.
I read that three times and I still can't figure out how "if the election appeared closer or if Trump were ahead" makes any difference. He blew it. Big time. Well before that. By excusing Hillary instead of recommending her for prosecution. That is what the record should have shown. But now delicate Democrat sensibilities grasping at straws, refusing to acknowledge how horrible Hillary Clinton is as candidate, and how sick their party is for foisting her upon us, nor conversely, how attractive Trump was to their opponents, and how angry they are at their own party, will take this as solid reason why she lost. It's not why she lost. She's horrible. That's why she lost.

It's been a a year and and four months. Get over yourselves already.

Just another book to avoid reading, but one that will be discussed, and at wearisome length.

Twitchy.

You know by now the GOP fired up a website to counter Comey's book. Lyin' Comey.

If the book has stuff like that, nobody don't need no stinkin' website.

A lot of people are going to come to the conclusion that Comey isn't very sharp.

The left hate him because he didn't act as a mob boss for Hillary.

Trump wanted his loyalty, which if true is odd, because come on dude, loyalty is for corruptocrats only.

Let's name bigger tools than Comey. Go.

Nobody expected Clinton to lose, even Comey. I suspect this was his insurance policy to keep from getting fired by her. The only FBI director fired previously was William Sessions, by Bill Clinton for "ethics violations" (insert laugh track here).

He thought Hillary would win even though he announced the new email disclosures. That would mean that the public knew about her being a criminal but still elected her anyway. It wouldn't be his fault. He could present himself as an honest civil servant just doing his job, and not playing politics--even though that is exactly what he was doing. And he would have got away with it too, if it wasn't for those meddling Trumpers.

IMO he cost her the election as it was just too close to election day. The ones who think the Russians cost her should be blaming Comey. If I were him I would have a food taster and be watching my back.

Had to look him up, but yes, I'd say he qualifies.
