Barack and Michelle Obama's portraits for Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery

Drudge calls Michelle's portrait a disaster. Daily Caller says the audience reaction says it all. Daily Caller's comment section is hateful and rotten.

Canadian site, Small Dead Animals substitutes this Photoshop.

I'm telling you. It's bad out there.  Real bad. *shakes necktie knot* There ain't no respect. No respect at all.

Chip, there ought to be a close-up of Zippy's.

I know portraitists have always touched up imperfections, but his is of another guy.

I have been to the National Portrait Gallery, I used to like it. A relative has a work in there. But it has gone around the bend on SJWism. Maybe I will be able to get my scanner to work - I have some old time pictures from when the Smithsonian was an American institution.

Two Wash Outs

Colored painters without a color sense;
Paler their work is than Mike Pence!
Fade out Obama, fade out Michelle;
A fitting end to your unreal hell.

Setting aside subjective dislike of this couple, they are objectively good looking people and these portraits make them look disappointing and underwhelming and ugly and odd, to say the least. Not flattering though I'm sure there will be endless "learned" commentary about how these are profound works of African-American Art to honor these two giants of racemongering. I read that there's some significance to the flowers in the shrubbery behind Obama. Whatever. Neither of the Obamas seem overly thrilled by their portraits either. Jug Ears made his usual stuttering noises, which could mean anything. Until the teleprompter intervenes and forms sounds into words, meaning does not exist and even then it's quite malleable as we all know. He did look a little embarrassed, like he knew that jokes were being formed in that moment. Michelle had to bring race into it because nothing exists until it is washed through the filter of racial resentment and judged. Have these two been keeping quiet lately or is it just my imagination? What a way to resurface!

The Michelle portrait looks like something submitted to Highlights by a very talented eight year old.

Have to disagree, certainly about Mike. The perpetual scowl and the lumbering frame just don't make it.

Zippy may have a good visage, but the body is scrawny (which one can make as he/she will).

They're not ugly people on the outside. Michelle is not the trend-setting fashion diva the media tried to turn her into but she can look stunning.

It's funny watching all the good people have to pretend that these are great works of art. Haha, sucks to be forced to accept mediocrity in the name of social engineering.

Barack looks like the viewer has interrupted him taking a dump in the woods. Unacceptable!
Unpresidential!
Racist!
Not Amused!

The "Small Dead Animals" version - empty chair! Eastwood's revenge.

She has yet to stun me. Sorry.

I don't see how either of them could be happy about their portraits. How embarrassing. Wonder if the artists are getting any negative feedback.
