TR was once a hero to immigrants. My Uncle Carl, who was the patriarch of our whole clan, born in The Old Country but brought over when he was three or four, so raised American and a human dynamo just like TR, well, he worshipped TR. In Chicago, one of the Revruns is demanding that Washington and Jackson park be renamed because of their slaveholding past. He says the should be renamed for Harold Washington (transvestite tax dodging late mayor) and Jesse Jackson (blackmailing adulterer ex beer baron). Odds are this will happen.
