"Trump to hold rally on night of White House correspondents' dinner"

The Hill:  President Trump will hold a rally in Pennsylvania the night of the White House Correspondents' Association dinner, he said Saturday.

"Next Saturday night I will be holding a BIG rally in Pennsylvania. Look forward to it!" Trump wrote on Twitter.

The announcement comes after Trump decided earlier this year that he would skip the annual dinner in Washington, D.C., breaking with longtime political tradition of the president attending the event alongside lawmakers and celebrities.

The dinner is on April 29 at the Washington Hilton.

When effectively pulled off it, it drives the opposition nuts!

He goes to be with his peeps rather than the DC crowd.

He also uses it to put pressure on Ryan for his tax cuts.

Nifty.

Maybe Obama will show at the dinner. I hear he's coming back from vacation. Time to ramp up his subversive "shadow government." Hollowood stars of both sexes and in between will line up on stage to fellate him once again.

The AP printed this lie in a story about Trump's meeting in Pennsylvania an of course my local paper, the Philadelphia Inquirer, printed her story:

"Trump previously announced that he is boycotting this year's dinner to protest what he says is unfavorable coverage by the news media. "

And the MSM worries about fake news?

So I found all these YouTube videos of music that include the written music. I am enjoying the heck out of them. I read the dots and am thankful I don't have to play them - that stuff is complicated. Pages covered with symbols and notation and time signatures and repeats and glisandos and phrasing and volume and foreign words - what the hey?

So I am reading Hungarian Rhapsody #2 and I saw a new (to me) word. It turns out that there is an Italian term "Ossia" used by composers, derived from the Italian words "O sia", meaning "Or be it" - essentially an alternative version of a passage, usually simpler than the original passage.

Except for that scamp Liszt - his ossias were no easier, just a different possibility.

MSM is all ossia - alternative passages, and in their case, totally out of touch with reality.

Even though they have Liszts, I prefer the old music instead.

Sia is a subjunctive mood form of essere.

I predicted the same in a moody eulogy:

It is pedantic to bemoan the loss of a mere verb form; it's altogether another thing to dismiss the line between fact and fantasy. But that is what's happening.

Great minds.
