As Turley pointed out, this woman worked in an office that gave Obama carte blanche on immigration issues. If she would have simply resigned, I would have some respect for her. But the grand standing move says she is strictly political and looking to cash in on this. Liberals LOVE martyrdom.
Putting aside the original usage of the term in the movie The Sand Pebbles, I'm not at all sure why it is a criticism to say that someone is looking out for their rice bowl.
I remember vividly, some years ago, when Trooper York at TOP posted a comment where he said "I can be bought." Perhaps he was joking, but I thought his comment sincere and I thought it admirable.
A great many of us can be bought, and are in fact bought, in one way or another, pretenses to the contrary notwithstanding.
Of course I can be bought. I am being bought every day. We all are. We live in the real world.
The thing is Trump lives in the real world and these lefties do not. Trump will throw something out there and see if it sticks. If not he will try something else.

Some of those who irk forces are the same that spurn crosses.
Well, we all wondered if we'd hear, "you're fired".
Hysterics (read CNN) compare it to the Saturday Night Massacre. A more apt comparison is PATCO.
She's gone.
Angry white proggy boys. Yuck.
She needed to be gone sooner. OK - Trump is learning fast who the real back-stabbers are. McCain is a piker.

It may not be that some can be bought, but they can be rented at reasonable rates.
There is, however, a point where most will draw the line.
