skateboard through McLaren windshield

Not through it, at it. I don't know what a McLaren is. Apparently a 250,000 automobile. It's been seen hot-rodding around Denver. It jumped the crosswalk at a light and a skateboarder with no respect for expensive automobiles tossed his board at the windshield, and took off running. A passenger riding shotgun gave chase. A bystander in line (for ice cream,  I think) sure is fast with his phone.

Good show! All around. You gotta love a rich punk being shown disrespect. And bravo for the guy so quick with his phone. I'd be standing there pushing the buttons trying to get it to cooperate.

More of the story at YouTube. Comments are entertaining too. Shot vertical. Let's try not to hold that against him. (Looks like an ugly car to me, actually. But what do I know about cars? Nothing. That's what.)

I saw this video some months back. I wondered what happened to the kid. I'd imagine he got cornered, gave up and then his parents came to an arrangement.

There's a video by Burr, the comedian, I might be spelling his name wrong, there might be an h missing. Anyway in the video he talks about visiting London and seeing all these super expensive cars people from Arab countries have them flown in cargo planes so they can ride around the streets of London. I'd again imagine that is the point of these cars they are for sharing some visual pleasure? With the passerby. I cannot fathom any other explanation for them.

There's also the possibility the videographer the skateboarder and the car driver were in cahoots. Staging an event for viral entertainment. It's possible. If flying a car in a cargo plane to ride around the streets of London is possible...

It seemed staged to me. Just so happened that...

"You gotta love a rich punk being shown disrespect."

No I don't.

Aside from the fact that damaging property is a bit beyond disrespect.

Help a brother out.

Comments on youtube say "faked" as they do. Always. Something strikes the viewer as fake so they so. And we've become so jaded with CGI, Photoshop and the like, that everything can be easily faked.

The videographer said he was filming the sunset. Now this is a thing that I can understand. But perhaps a bit too twee?

You do hear the crunch that windshield safety glass makes when it's broken like that.

And the passenger does get out of the vehicle a bit fast. (Like I, would have done, my mates would have done, my brother would have done at that age. )

And they separate. However, now everyone with phones, and everyone, especially these guys with cash, easily reunited.

I don't see any clues telling me this is a set up.

Also, now that it's mentioned, I did see this first on reddit, and held it in the back of my mind.

Further, I'm lying again, I do know quite a lot about cars, through the males in my family, they all really dig cars and there's no way to avoid it by osmosis. But I'm from my mother's side on this one. She got pissed off at us for not jumping to attention when she mentioned she wanted her new vanity plates put on before heading off to her bingo game. My brothers didn't move. And I'm all silently, "don't look at me" and she got hot as hell because she was ready to go. She stormed. "Goddamnit! I'll put the things on myself!" Then my brothers reluctantly got up. I think their attitude was, something so simple, why are you even asking? Oh, that's right, you're a woman and not supposed to hold tools, not supposed to crack a nail. Silly woman. Actually becomes cross when her boys don't snap to attention at her absurd desire to show off her ridiculous plates. I forget what the plates said, something vain. Something that makes you not want to even get in the car.

My question is, what about it looks fake to you, or to someone?

Would this video work better or worse if the kid threw his skateboard through the windshield of a down market car? It's the McLaren that makes the event seem both suspicious and authentic............Replacing that windshield can't be cheap. If it's a prank, it has high production values.....

We should leave this up to Spinelli.

Did you not check out the Channel 9 investigation. No police report, the guy who posted it to youtube happens to own the same car, if you managed to score +7 million hits, you are going to get enough back to pay for the windshield...

Not conclusive proof, but...

So the windshield was already broken?

And the noise that is heard is expanding it?

The owner is punking us to have the ordinary replacement covered?

If so then. Well done! My original antipathy for a rich brat behaving poorly just now improved to admiration. Kids today. So creative.
