Not true. She was adored by Republicans. Sure you're not mixing her up with Betty Ford?
No. A lot of Republicans didn't particularly like her. They didn't dislike her, but other first Ladies - Mamie Eisenhower, Ladybird Johnson, a few others - seemed to be held higher in the public's affection.
Who would have guessed that Pepsi Cola would endure longer than Ruppert's beer. Does Kinsey whiskey still exist? I remember Four Roses as the leading cheap booze, but I think Blarney Stone would occasionally run specials on Kinsey and Claverty as well. What wonderful days. Drinking yourself into a sodden mess at the Blarney Stone for under ten dollars.

Notice how clean it was.
Before the Lefties took over.
PS Saw about Nancy Reagan. She wasn't loved like some First Ladies, but she was certainly Ronnie's One True Love.

Nice photo. "Berlin Express" is a nice little thriller with Robert Ryan.

True. She was not adored by the Republicans I knew, many of whom loved Reagan and accepted her as part of the pair, because she completed his world.
Was the Whitehouse china Nancy was hounded for buying the same that Hillary was forgiven for stealing?
