These attacks [by radical feminists and black campus activists] on the foundations of freedom and equality under law are nothing new. The beliefs animating such attacks—that individual rights encourage pernicious practices (such as worshiping God and acquiring private property); that law’s primary function is to serve as a tool by which oppressors keep the oppressed in place; and that the task of politics is to overcome the benighted concern with the blessings of freedom in order to convert hearts and minds to the one true secular faith—were all brilliantly articulated by the young Karl Marx.
...The immediate problem is that, undergirded by intolerance and dogmatism, the new programs to combat systemic racism and sexism to which elite universities will be devoting hundreds of millions of additional dollars will intensify the grievances they are supposedly meant to soothe.

Scalia was right about the liabilities of AA from the student's perspective. From the progressive perspective, the student is just a pawn representing "diversity." From the student's perspective, it's a different story. Scalia made his comments in the context of affirmative action so they are directed at recipients of affirmative action, but anyone who is not prepared for the faster pace at top schools (which is a lot of people, especially these days given the defective nature of secondary schooling and parenting) would do better in the long run at a "lesser" school. In fact, given the AA and Snowflakiness of these "top schools," those supposedly "lesser" schools are going to turn into the top schools of tomorrow. ITT Technical Institute, the Harvard of tomorrow. Not kidding.
Great discussion by John McWhorter about Scalia's comments here
An impact of AA is it does not really help people from a disadvantaged background. Obama is a great example, he has said that he was helped at Harvard Law by AA, but Obama himself comes from a privileged family that sent him to quality schools and could afford all the advantages. It is a comfortable myth of progressives that AA in college admissions will somehow help level the playing field for some inner city ghetto youth, but the reality is middle class students who just happen to have enough extra melanin in their skin that are the ones to benefit.
The streets of my city has many young, gifted, and black people who were excluded from higher ed not because a white person took their slot, but because some middle class suburban black person took their desk.
There is only one way to deal with these people. Kill them. Marxism has been allowed to flourish and fester into the miasmic toxic ideological sludge it is now. It has infected government and academia. It is now a full metastatic stage 4 cancer and we are all being infected by it. Kill them and kill them with fire because Marxism is the ultimate troll. And I'm not joking either.
Methadras- nah, too much bother. Eventually the public money will dry up and there will be a wake up call as these people enter the private sector- where performance matters. Marxism is a self correcting system- it never survives for long. One generation or one and a half tops.
Ha ha the talented tenth always screw their darker lesser brethren.
I think most of these protests, and demands are to punish parental figures, who these people never learned to respect.

That is the long game. The time is up for that and the Marxists have won in their enclaves and if you don't think that this nonsense won't permeate out into the private sector, then you're not seeing the big picture. It may not start out that like in the beginning, but it will creep into leftist run industries like tech, IT, programming, and proliferate from there. Unions are already there both public and private. What is it that you are waiting for? Too much bother? You think think the left says that what they do is to much bother? You see, they don't give a fuck about your ass sitting. They will face roll you if they get a chance and if you think tax payer funded monies will dry up, you are dreaming some more.
There is an official government religion and that religion is Marxist leftism and if you can or haven't figured that out by now. You will never see the bullshit swirling around you.
You saw the video touted, "Amherst: D'Souza DESTROYS Leftist College Students Arguments" circulating on right wing news sites.
What? Do I look like your personal linking bitch?
I suppose maybe I do. Fine.
It's not that fun. Typical fare. The kid says the typical things and D'Souza counters with the typical things. There is no destruction to it.
However, we see that the privileged young man really is clever. He is not a little dummkopf. He is genuine. And he's learning. And his mind is open. And he is trying to answer Shapiro's question. His Critical Race Theory professor is behind him. He wants to sit down, his little point made, but D'Souza would like to continue, and so the frizzy gray hair lady in the brown sweater is egging him on to continue with all she has taught her little padwan.
He is not comfortable. He wants to sit down and end this. She is saying, "Go on, go on an teach him. She is earnest. She need her crap spewing from his mouth.
Titus will notice the lad's eminently fuckable butt.
See? I'm a salesman.
The point that I'm making is having an argument with SJW, any liberal for that matter, any Democrat, is having an argument with all their professors, all their NPR, PBS newsreaders, all their most fierce warriors at the same time, their entire catch basin of hangups, daddy issues, bully issues, inferiority complexes, need for protection, resentments, and most of all victimization and moral sanctimony all at once. The full lot all at once for every given exchange. It's all right there in the video. But destroying the SJW at Oberlin is not in the video. Merely the same things you already know, already heard and read a million times, like badminton back and forth, wearisome to behold and designed to wear you right out.
We saw this in the 60s.
Nothing at all new.
I saw that Dinesh D'Souza video over the weekend. It is a textbook example of how to deconstruct an SJW. Forget logic, go straight for whether they walk their talk.
You have admitted you are a beneficiary of white privilege - how do YOU make amends for that?
Uh, er, um, I tutored some disadvantaged kids once.
Haha, tutoring, but seriously, are you going to give up your place at Amherst, that you got from white privilege? Because you're awfully free with giving away the benefits of other peoples' white privilege, but not so much your benefits.
Note the agitated professor sitting behind the kid, making punching motions and hissing. White privilege personified. Though she may not be white.
