"Antarctica is actually gaining ice, says NASA"

"Is global warming over? Not quite, scientists say. But new study results show the fallibility of current climate change measuring tools and challenges current theories about the causes of sea level rise."
A new NASA study found that Antarctica has been adding more ice than it's been losing, challenging other research, including that of the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, that concludes that Earth’s southern continent is losing land ice overall.
In a paper published in the Journal of Glaciology on Friday, researchers from NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, the University of Maryland in College Park, and the engineering firm Sigma Space Corporation offer a new analysis of satellite data that show a net gain of 112 billion tons of ice a year from 1992 to 2001 in the Antarctic ice sheet.

That gain slowed to 82 billion tons of ice per year between 2003 and 2008.
Climate scientists caution that these findings don’t mean it’s time to start celebrating the end of global warming. More than anything, the paper shows how difficult it is to measure ice height in Antarctica and that better tools are needed...
For now, the study authors say, these findings challenge current explanations for sea level rise, much of which is attributed to melting ice sheets in Greenland and Antarctica.

Agreed, but if the ice was shrinking even 10% of that amount it would prove global warming and anyone who disagrees needs to be jailed.

That type of disclaimer accompanies every story that provides any evidence against the "consensus". The evidence in support almost never needs a disclaimer forsome reason. This is called "science" now.

Just because there is more ice being cooked up, doesn't mean were not getting warmer... or something.

Back in 2008 Obama promised this. Give him some credit here, folks.

Maybe Polar Bears should become migrants to Antarctica, what could go wrong?

As a proponent of global warming, I don't believe the ideal global temperature is what it was 100 years ago, or 1971, or even what it is now. I prefer what it was around 1200 BC or 1200 AD, both significantly warmer than today. Nice, warm, green, productive, and apparently also terrifying and unprecedented. Personally, I applaud all those doing their best to increase their carbon footprint, like Al Gore, and all the globetrotting ecotourists in the IPCC. You go girls! Fly, burn, and bitch our way to a warmer planet.

Shit, all this hocus pocus started w/ Global Cooling back in the 60's. This soulless bastard liberal shill "scientists" will just switch back to this. There is widespread panic[not the band] in this crowd because of the vast new oil reserves found. We were told, back in the 70's, that we would be out of oil by 2015. We now have exponentially more oil now than we did in the 70's. People will switch to alternative energy when it's cheaper than oil. Liberals want to subvert that. They must be stopped by any means necessary.

The scam must continue full speed ahead towards that melting ice cap!!! CHARGE!!!

I think they should send the polar bears to Germany.

There are plenty of Syrians to feed on. They squeal a lot less than baby seals. Just sayn'
