Huge explosion of Chinese "dangerous materials" warehouse
This occurred in an industrial northern port city, Tianjin Tanggu. The first brief clip of the explosion does not look survivable, as if the phone was picked up from the ground in the aftermath. It's that close. Other recordings at distances look like an attack on the city. Google videos: [explosion, tianjin tanggu]
You will never know the facts about this. The government will tell the most face saving lie that they feel that they can get away with, and they have gotten away with far bigger lies in the past.
I read the biography of Mao by Jung Chang. Remember those human wave assaults in Korea. They were portrayed as an example of the fanatical commitment of the Chinese Communists. They were nothing of the kind. Several former Nationalist Army units had gone over to the Communists in the last days of Chiang. Mao didn't trust these units. He had them charge entrenched American forces in suicidal waves. Behind these units were "blockading squadrons" whose jobs was to kill anyone who retreated. Those ex-Nationalist units thus had the choice of suicide by American Army or suicide by Mao.......And they say, you don have free will in totalitarian societies. How little they know........

there are 1.25 billion Chinese. The ones that bit it here are easily replaced.
With the toxic chemicals flowing everywhere, don't light a match in China.
Was that city Tientsin?
If so, maybe somebody wants to send Peking a message.
That's just horrible. I'd like to know what's in the toxic plume.
