Is that a real live tarantula? I'd never hold that thing in my hand. Hammacher-Schlemmer sells a fake tarantula if you're planning to give a loved one a heart attack.
The insect tending guide person was little older than a child himself. His hand is in the shot too. He kept hovering directly there to catch the spider if it jumped or stop the child if he squished it, whatever. He was a hover-guide.
I dared the boy and he was eager to accept the challenge. He really wanted to hold it.
I have teeny-tiny plastic ants and those work very well too.
Very well. The same joke can be repeated. It always works for a shock, even when people know you have them.
