Our guest room has venetian blinds on the windows but the blinds on one of the windows won't stay up because the pull cord won't catch on the left hand side.
I've listened to my brother-in-law yank furiously on that cord over and over and over again, often as much as a dozen times, before he finally gives up and goes over to the other window.
This has been going on, now, for more than 10 years and he does it every time he visits.
He has an M.D., and an M.B.A., works in the pharmaceutical industry, and makes big money.
I try to understand the phenomenon in terms of evolution.
