Here's The Plan

We can't sit here and take this bullshit arctic attack.  This is America.  Everyone meet at the arrows with your space heaters.

Best idea I've heard yet.

I have to take The Blonde to her first round of therapy on Tuesday when the high will be a tropical -2.

Heat donations will be gratefully received

I'll need a long extension cord.

@edutcher - warm wishes and prayers sent to you and your wife for a positive outcome.

Yes, Ed, I second that. I'll be thinking of you both.

On the contrary, this is just the excuse we'e been waiting on for our invasion of Canada.

I'd suggest starting with the French part - "well begun is half done."

I guess that makes us the resistance, deep behind enemy lines, Haz.

Deborah, you have a kind heart, but your compassion is misplaced.

But I shall not bash, Lord knows that poor boy gets enough of that at home.

I think alcohol and cabin fever have created a perfect storm of malignancy in that gardener's mind.

More's the pity.

But you are an ace, Deborah.

Deborah, I loved your succinct summation. I think they just need to travel!!

The Dude said...

LOL @ Nick - you are absolutely correct - nothing wrong with them that a few weeks touring Europe wouldn't fix. London, Paris, Rome, you name it - travel broadens one's perspective.

And hell Sixty, I discovered Negroni's this last trip! They could expand their horizons on their favorite activity.

Where is Gore. He appears to be somewhere in the Wisconsin area.

And ever since we elected, and reelected a new Santa Claus there has been incompetence running rampant. Who in charge of the damned thermostat? Hillary?

The Dude said...

Are you suggesting it is now colder than one of her breasts?

bagoh20 said...

No researchers would volunteer to maintain the sensors in that area, so we have a blind spot in the data.

Seriously, what's wrong with your ancestors? Did they make their decision to stop in Wisconsin in July? I often wonder what was up with mine in western PA. They made it over the Appalachians and set up camp in the southern tundra. Go west young man... or south, or southwest.

God bless you and your wife ed. I hope it all goes well.

Mine stopped here because of the abundant free-range schnitzels.

I figured you were a cold warrior, Haz.

Prayers for you and your bride, edutcher.

Really Deb, no comments on "Meade"?

How can we pile on if you hog it all for yourself? Seriously, I would love to hear his side, and I would probably defend him. I do understand his love for Ann and think they have a wonderful relationship. I give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he's just having fun and trying to be provocative. I'm sure if given the chance he would show me how wrong I am, so let him do it. We aren't scared of that kind of thing here.

Thoughts and prayers for Mrs. ed (AKA The Blonde) and you, ed.

Travel prepared in case you have an unexpected delay.

Wind chill will take us to -4 tomorrow and double digits Monday night. Brrrrssss...

We are not going anywhere. Not even to a dear friend's house to mourn together the slaughter of Auburn tomorrow evening.

Edutcher,

I have great confidence in the outcome, and I have never been wrong about that, except when I doubted the science of miracles you two are entering. The surprise will be how well it works, and how full the recovery is. Then the benefits of going through it will make life so much richer with no extra work except being here. This is one of the few things I know something about. Savor your miracle, and welcome aboard the lifeboat. The weather is good ahead.

These are very sweet and optimistic thoughts Bagoh. At times I wish I shared your upbeat nature.

I have -26º on my thermometer. Very few cars have driven by the house this morning. I'll be watching around 7:18 to see if the school bus drives by.

Forecast says 28º by Friday. That's a difference of 54ºs.

WOO HOO!

I'm still pissed at Pa Ingalls for stopping in South Dakota.

As far as comment on Meade, I couldn't rely on everyone to be as sweet as you.

All schools in Minnesota are closed. No school around here.

I'm about ready to go outside to feed the cats. What they are really looking for more than food, is water.

What's up with Meade?

Good luck to you and your wife, edutcher.
