"Pasta -- There is only so much I can do on my own.

The special interests know it, and they're counting on you to be silent on gun violence and climate change. They hope you're not paying attention to creating jobs or fixing our broken immigration system.

And they plan to make the loudest noise when your members of Congress come home for August recess.

I'm counting on you to be just as vocal -- to make sure the agenda that Americans voted for last year is front and center.

Say you'll do at least one thing as part of OFA's Action August in your community, no matter where you live.  (Link removed.)

I know it's easy to get frustrated by the pace of progress.

But it's not a reason to sit back and do nothing -- our system only works if you play your part.

If you don't let your representatives know where you stand in August, we risk losing an important battle on your home turf.

So I'm asking you to speak up -- commit to do at least one thing in your community during Action August:

Thanks,

Barack
And appearing at the end of this very personal email from my pal, Barack:

PAID FOR BY ORGANIZING FOR ACTION.
Organizing for Action is, of course, a tax exempt educational entity with no partisan political purpose.  In fact, it was not only granted this status with no delay, but it was granted it retroactively; even though such a thing was "extralegal", a perky and upbeat way to describe usurpation by rogues answerable to no one.

Come on, guys.  Be patient.  There's only so much Barack can do on his own.

Isn't Organizing for Action a tax exempt social education organization?

I thought that direct involvement by politicians was against the rules for tax exemption.

Yes, I really do comment before I scroll down the page....

In any case... I pledge not to be silent on gun violence and climate change.

I'm pretty sure that "Barack" will not like what I have to say.

Going over in my head, TOP's many many references to Barack, I can't remember much in the way of condemnation, towards the man that in the end, will have done more damage to this country, than any other president in history.

I'm not exaggerating. That's just me being "gentle in an amusing way".

You may not be exaggerating but IMO that's purely subjective.

Hey Barack, since everything against you is phony, guess we'll chalk up your entire tenure as president the same way to. Fucking prick.

The biggest special interest of them all?

THE GOVERNMENT

Obama's knows this, but he is counting on masses of idiots remaining ignorant.
Get the pitchforks!
I have to admit, while lame, Obama is awesome pitting Americans against each other.

The only thing standing in Barack's way is the terrible shadow of Bush! The man's trying. He's TRYING. He's STRAINING. But he's blocked. All stopped up. Our beloved prez is constipated. And all because of Bush! If only Bush would go away Dear Leader could flow again. And, as it were, fertilize America. Go away Bush! You bad bad man. Let Barry be Barry. And flow all over us. A truly fundamental transformation.

How about forwarding that email to your congressperson and snators and ask them what the hell is going on?

Send it to -- who is it? Darrell Issa's office -- or whoever it is trying to investigate the group who will not be investigated.

Send it to the tax lawyer blog that Insty features daily ("The IRS Scandal Day XX") paul.caron@pepperdine.edu

It's time to not shut up.

JAL said...

"snators" heh.

I do like that in spite of my hunt-and-peck-if-yer-lucky typing.

Yeah, Obama's a jerk with tyrannical urges. But, you know what, I lay a lot of the blame for the country being stuck with him on McCain. For starters, imagine if he hadn't banned Palin from talking about Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers back in 2008 -- think it would have made a difference? I do.

And now he's showing Hillary the love, in the pages of the
New Republic, no less.

I'm no fan of the President, but let's be fair. You'd have to go pretty far back to find one that has covered himself in glory.

Obama isn't even close to the worst President we've had. His worst excesses are just half-assed versions of things Wilson and FDR did before him.

Let's not forget Edward "Teddy" Kennedy.

Lots of influence over differing Presidents; all bad.

Decades of showing, loudly and belligerently, how power corrupts. Yet Teddy showed power is not only worth eternal damnation, it is the only thing worth anything.

Revenant said...

Ted Kennedy's life before politics suggests he was corrupt prior to actually achieving any significant power.

THE GOVERNMENT"

It's one of those strange things about leftists I haven't been able to figure out. Leftists are concerned about large companies, which have to produce a good or service others are willing to buy. But when it comes to the massive federal government, run by an enormous invisible bureaucracy, it's great. And the government forces you to buy their service, and sometimes if you don't the results are loss of life (Ruby Ridge). Let's face it, the US federal government is the largest monopoly on the planet.

Then there are the massive state governments. Better watch out. The big story the press missed in Zimmerman is that you better not get on the wrong side of the politics of a state, even by accident, as they will train the massive barrels of their guns against you.

It's confusing to me. Even with monopolies (which in my view the government should split up), you still have to agree to buy their stuff, but the government, no. And the government is so much bigger, with so many more resources.

Very confusing.

Why does "progressive" always mean more control?

Guildofcannonballs said...

Tink or think?

Tinking is; and does.

Thinking isn't always and most every time doesn't.

Guildofcannonballs said...

"corrupts" doesn't mean what you think it does R. Dynamacy. Dynamics and "acy" added to dynamics. Corruption isn't a cause but indeed something more than your evil side could admit.

But thanks for the response.

I consider you, like Ritno, smarter than me hence leaning toward Evil on the Evil/Stupid meter.

Those dumber than me, Inga, make me less likely to suffer their idiocy the less their vitriol; hence our ever-changing "your dumb, evil, and unique" to Comments Home.

Thank you.

I will edit that last comment:

1.) As per RSM (Heh! Stacy got himself an acronym) if I am paid.

2.) in my mind.

3.) in order to jest.

So:

My buddy just the other day, in Madison, on a Saturday, when the S.S. aren't as vocal-but still felt-as now during the week they will be, wrote:

THREE THINGS I HATE:

1. Lists.

2. Irony.

3. Vandalism.

Cause the control is always of others.

Notice how none of this applies to them?

The must be a buckin' faceball game on or something...

It started on Wednesday and when Thursday came they were still playing. it was July when the game began and when August came they were still playing.

The Sox played for five manageable hours. it seemed a lot longer than that however.

The Yankees are about to finish theirs in the west coast.

Dante-
The government (esp under democrats) is not accountable to the tax payers.
Democrats can waste as much tax payer money as they want, and then come back for more. (for the children and social justice!)

We witness the never-ending waste.
Where are the promised goodies?
Up in smoke.
Solyndra, IRS 50 million dollar party, Mega millions on White House Hollywood parties, vast sums of money spend to keep the king and queen occupied with lavish travel. Spare no expense.
Goldman Sachs and all sorts of graft from tax payer to democrat donor. The acceleration of the entire US to D-Detroit is something to behold.

Ultimately it is because our government is not accountable to tax payers.

Euphemisms all for Marxism. Leftists can call themselves whatever they want, it's all bullshit anyway. We all know what they are and what they want to do.
