"Police Find No Evidence of Rape at University of Virginia Fraternity"

"The police here said Monday that they had found no evidence that a woman was gang raped at a University of Virginia fraternity house in 2012, and they were suspending their investigation, after a lengthy inquiry in which the alleged victim refused to cooperate. But they said the inquiry was not closed."
“I can’t prove that something didn’t happen, and there may come a point in time in which this survivor, or this complaining party or someone else, may come forward with some information that might help us move this investigation further,” Police Chief Timothy Longo told a roomful of reporters here.

The announcement came four months after a now-discredited report of the sexual assault was published in Rolling Stone, roiling the historic university — and the world of journalism. But it was not entirely unexpected; university officials said in January that the police had informed them there was no “substantive basis to confirm the allegations.” (read more)

"Should false allegations of rape be punished?"

Well, of course, but the question is: Who's going to do that? The DA? Bwahahaha. Yeah right. The accused? Usually, the falsely accused is just happy to have charges dropped and doesn't want to risk another go at the courts.

When I worked for the KC prosecutor's office back in the 1970's, the pendulum was swung against victims. Now, it has swung way too far the other way.

They should sue their balls off. If they had balls.

The University of Virginia and Rolling Stone should be on the hook for millions.

You could bring charges of perjury against anyone, in any case, who testifies under oath and who wasn't believed by the finder of fact.

A woman says she was raped by a guy she knows with no eye witnesses but there's evidence of prompt complaint and forensic corroboration. The jury acquits.

She goes to jail?

Isn't a libel suit available?

Not only should false allegations of rape be punished, but they should require public notification of who made the claim and an apology of exoneration against the accused by both the accuser and the prosecutors office.

Frankly, it's high time that prosecutors offices reap what they sow and should be criminal and financially liable for their prosecutorial misdeeds as well. Fuck them if they think they can get off the hook with a shoulder shrug, an "oh well", and nothing else.

But something happened!

that's what I heard on the hack media.

Oh, I heard the news conference where one of the officers says to paraphrase, "we didn't have sufficient evidence, but we know something bad happened?" Really? All that bullshit and you have nothing to show for it other than libelous finger pointing. I swear, the government prosecutorial monopoly money making machine needs to have a serious fucking head check. It's high time immunity was dissolved for these motherfuckers. That will make them think fucking twice until they have their ducks in a row or they shut the fuck up.

It's a well known fact that the editors of Rolling Stone have a kind of ritual where they show their allegiance to the cause of late term abortion. Amidst much drinking and revelry, the newest member of the staff is asked to fuck a dead baby in the ass. They cheer him on as he does this. They claim it's a kind of bonding experience and helps them become better journalists and more socially aware......I demand the police should investigate the dead baby fucking scandal at Rolling Stone. On the record and under oath, the editors of Rolling Stone should be forced to deny or admit their complicity in this scandal.
