His widow had a restaurant in San Diego that didn't make it.
I've known Ingrid Croce for a while and she originally had her restaurant, Croce's in the heart of downtown in San Diego on 5th between Broadway and F street for years in the Gaslamp District. Then she moved it to the Hillcrest/Banker's Hill section north of Downtown. A very nice place with good food and great entertainment. My ex-wife and I would go there on occasion and enjoyed it immensely. I was sad to see it closed. I thought it did very well.

Sucks making posts on an iPad.
I was just remembering his songs and his life the other day. Who knows what he might have accomplished had he lived longer.
I guess what got me to thinkin' about him was Bad, Bad Leroy Brown - on the south side of Chicago, etc. Things have only gotten worse there.
Never a big fan, but so what. He had talent.
I'm likely wrong, but you'd think between abortion and killings south side population will get smaller.
Nice catch Chick 🐥

I liked "Leroy Brown" but otherwise Croce's "sensitive" music makes me want to throw up.
Sorry.
@rcocean: That's OK. This is why I put these posts up -- to gauge reader's responses.
Every middle aged guy I know puts on "Cats in the Cradle" and starts to cry when their kid goes off to college.
Harry Chapin is not Jim Croce, and you need to find better men to hang around with.
