Now it's getting weird
OK, up to now it was 5 black cops, part of an elite unit, 3 of them maybe gang-affiliated.
Now another shoe (notice I'm not ruling out an octopus) (or a centipede). Take a look at this guy and see if you think he looks like a soy boy. And they're not saying exactly what his part was.
If any.
Supposedly, there was a white guy involved, but if so, it's going to be interesting to see if it's supposed to be him. Kinda doubt it.
And now there's more.
UPDATE
The Memphis FD has fired 3 EMTs (2 black, one female) for not providing adequate care for Nichols after the 5 black cops beat him. Am I the only one that smells panic here? Are they just firing anybody who had any direct contact?
What did Nichols do to engender this kind of response? Was it some kind of hit?
Not exactly magnificent.
UPPERDATE
Now a 7th cop is under investigation; age, race, gender, or anything else still unspecified. It also turns out 4 of the original 5 had a history of disciplinary issues. Nothing about gang-banging.
Yet.
Night of the Long Knives, anyone?
And, of course, Commie News Net is pushing the driving while black thing, like the good little Lefties they are. Fact is, Memphis now denies the reckless driving charge; IOW it never happened. 5 black cops beat a black guy to death and 3 EMTs stood there and watched him die. Al "Kill the Jew" Sharpton will give the eulogy.
Looks like the Left wants the riot, but they don't want the cops blamed.
Or something.
Stay tuned, we've got 92 shoes to go.

Things are always what they seem
The Good Sense is Out There
But, unfortunately isn't being listened to.
I had to see what could make 5 (count 'em, 5) black cops beat a black guy to death.
The Chiraq Sun-Times gives this account.
Tyre Nichols is pulled over by police for an alleged traffic violation after photographing a sunset, according to accounts his family would give later.
Memphis police say in a statement that officers attempted to stop a man for reckless driving on Jan. 7 and he was taken to a hospital in critical condition after two confrontations. The first description of what happened says one confrontation occurred when officers approached the vehicle and the suspect fled on foot. Officers pursued, and another confrontation occurred when they took him into custody, police said.
From what I gather, he also gave them some attitude.
Doesn't justify what the cops did, but he sure acted guilty. Hate to say it, but I think there's another shoe to drop.
UPDATE dee deet de deet de deet
Sixty is talking about possible gang affiliations in his post above.
Well, it just got stranger. Memphis is deactivating its SCORPION unit. Scorpion stands for “Street Crimes Operations to Restore Peace in our Neighborhoods”.The unit is composed of three teams of about 30 officers who target violent offenders in areas beset by high crime.
All 5 of the cops involved in the beating were in the unit.
Either they were gang bangers or they just got tired of being nice.
Stay tuned.

On Truth & Another Pair of Eyes
Books were my window on the world when I was growing up back in the Sixties, with poetry and art offering me a second set of eyes and ears with which to see and hear, listen to and view what was going on within and around. Books were valued in our family and given as gifts. I could count on receiving one at Christmas and one on my birthday--a hardcover, with my name, a message and the date inscribed on the flyleaf. In 1970, the gift book I received that held more than I could hold, but spoke to right to my heart at that time was The Complete Works of Carl Sandburg, compiled after his death in 1967.
Today, after reading Neo’s post on her blog entitled, For Gerard, I headed over to American Digest to read with sadness the post she’d put up there under the heading, On Gerard. In it she shared, in her words, “the news no one wants to hear” regarding Gerard Van der Leun’s recent diagnosis of cancer and entry into last days under hospice care.
I spent a long time reading the comments left on both posts, trying to take in and hold the depth of love and sincerity expressed by the hundreds who valued him and appreciated his writing. They made me aware once again of the positive difference one person can make when they are true to themselves and others.
As I was looking over his blog I noticed a poem in the right margin by Carl Sandburg.
WHO AM I?
My head knocks against the stars. My feet are on the hilltops.
My finger-tips are in the valleys and shores of universal life.
Down in the sounding foam of primal things I reach my hands and play with pebbles of destiny.
I have been to hell and back many times.
I know all about heaven, for I have talked with God.
I dabble in the blood and guts of the terrible.
I know the passionate seizure of beauty
And the marvelous rebellion of man at all signs reading "Keep Off."
My name is Truth and I am the most elusive captive in the universe.
Reading it made me realize his blog was a lot like the books I’d received as gifts--an invitation to consider truth and view the world through another pair of eyes.

The case of the missing documents
It is your most humble petitioner, Inspector Lestrade. As you know it has been many years since I have last requested your assistance in the troubling matter of the disappearance of Lord Douchebag and several years since we examined the obscene affairs of the odious Lady Chatterley and her grass-stained lover. Today I must ask for assistance in an entirely different matter.
Your obedient servant,
Inspector G. Lestrade

Blood in the streets
Another wave of mass shootings. 5 over the weekend, only 2 with a relatively high casualty figure.
The big one had something to do with Chinese New Year. How many of the rest did?
Are we getting to the point where we think the FIB (or another group of weaponized government psychotics) is manipulating people through social media? I'm kind of split on it myself. All those CSI and profilers shows notwithstanding, I recall how many times they got who some sniper was wrong. The white right-wing Fundamentalist always turned out to be some Lefty or black or Moslem.
Kind of like how some people claim the CYA was involved in the Kennedy assassination. Thin gruel IMHO.
I would imagine that you'd need more time and more control over the subject. If you ever saw The Manchurian Candidate, you know what I mean. The fact so many are found dead is interesting. One can always say it's to distract from Brandon's classified problems, but I don't think the public's attention span is that incapable of focusing on more than one thing at a time.
Again, the immortal words of Stephen Stills.
PS I use sobriquets a lot because I can't stand to give these people any real recognition.
You don't like it, skip over.

Disinfectant
We are told truth is the best disinfectant.
Or something similar. It may well turn out to be true.
Notice has been taken that the WEF's resident National Socialists, The Slob and Dr Evil, have bowed out of going to this year's shindig. So has Bill Gates. Seems like all the pronunciamentos issues by the Master Race has caught the world's attention. As has its sideline of stealing elections.
Similarly, things looking less than rosy for the Big Guy mob, pere et fils. Some say this is pointed at keeping Brandon from running (if he's still capable of standing), although the idea that the Demos would allow him to be prosecuted if that world famous inferiority complex of his decides to show the Smart Guys you don't fu(k with a Brandon would be disaster on the half shell with the question, who do they run?, without a plausible answer.
Chlamydia? Newsom? the She-Wolf of the SS? Fauxcahontas? Mike? Spartacus? Polis? Bette Midler?
You see where this is leading.
And they said everybody's favorite psychotic would never be indicted for manslaughter.
On Freedom & The Search for Answers Others Said Couldn't Be Found
Yesterday, while roaming the internet, I came across mention of the supplement Z-Stack, touted as an "all-in-one immune boosting super formula" developed by Dr. Vladimir Zelenko, MD.
Looking up more info on it brought me to the following story about Dr Zelenko on Zstacklife.com, presented as part of his obituary. Born in the Ukraine in 1973, Vladimir "Zev" Zelenko immigrated with his family to the U.S. in 1977, became a doctor, "discovered and implemented a treatment for Covid-19", and died in 2022 from a rare form of cancer. Reading about his character, outlook and contributions, left me feeling surprised, moved and inspired. Would that there were more like him.
"Zev had a family medical practice in Monroe, New York in 2020 during the onset of what would become the Covid-19 pandemic. As a physician who masterfully combined the skills of both critical thinking and the scientific method, and who shaped their application out of his love for both God and patients, Zev was not content to sit back and wait for politicians or public health officials to settle upon a prescribed treatment path. People were dying. He began searching almost immediately for a method of treatment.
Aided by initiative, good fortune, and from his account divine intervention, he discovered such a treatment in combining Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ), zinc, azithromycin, and other various drugs, especially steroids, and creating what has come to be known as the “Zelenko protocol.” The key to the protocol was very early intervention to treat the virus inside the cellular level before it could break loose and develop into a full-blown respiratory disease.
Up to the time of his death, Zev had overseen the treatment of approximately 7,500 patients using his protocol and experienced only three patient deaths. The use of the Zelenko protocol has spread worldwide.
While he was nominated along with other courageous doctors for a Nobel Prize in recognition of his groundbreaking treatment and outspoken advocacy on behalf of patients, for the most part Zev faced censorship and condemnation for his taking a bold stand against prevailing orthodoxy. For whatever their motives, politicians and health officials worldwide attempted to either downplay or outright deny the efficacy of the Zelenko protocol and its simple, low-cost treatment path. Numerous studies were constructed to deliberately hide the effectives of using HCQ (later ivermectin) in conjunction with other drugs.
There were even steps taken by politicians like then New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to forbid the use of HCQ in treating patients. Social media platforms joined in the effort to silence Zev, with Twitter having famously banned him from the platform in late 2020.
As Voltaire said, “It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong.”
Despite numerous studies over the past two years that have supported the effectiveness of his protocol, access to the treatment remains denied to significant portions of the population and is simply ignored by many physicians.
Undeterred, Zev went in search of another method to treat patients that could circumvent government restrictions. HE discovered that the natural supplement Quercetin could serve the same function as did HCQ in assisting zinc to attack the still developing virus inside the cell. It was not as effective, but as Zev was fond of saying, “You don’t go to war with the army you wish you had. You go to war with the army you’ve got.” He discovery of Quercetin, which he likened to being a .22 caliber compared to HCQ’s .50 caliber ultimately led to the development of his Z-Stack supplement.
Over the past year-and-a-half, Zev has been an outspoken critic of the mRNA vaccine pointing to both its serious side-effects and its alteration of genetic code. He has been especially critical of the use of the vaccine in children who are not old enough to give their own informed consent and who face virtually no risk of serious illness from Covid-19. He has shared his views over a broad spectrum of web-based podcast interviews and at numerous live appearances across the country. He has been routinely greeted with applause interruptions and standing ovations.
As to the rare form of cancer with which he was diagnosed in early 2018 and told of its 100 percent terminal prognosis, Zev repeatedly referred to it as having been a gift from God. “My cancer is what prepared me for the Covid-19 pandemic,” He would say. “Without it, I would not have developed my passion for searching for answers that others said couldn’t be found, and without it I could not have held to the persecution and ridicule I received for daring to treat patients. I have looked death in the eye and I have been made ready to meet God. I fear nothing on this earth.”
A man of profound faith, he believed until the end that God had created a special mission for him on this earth, and that the prayers of millions had kept him alive long enough to fulfill that mission."
I'm inclined to believe that myself.

Ol' Blue Eyes was wrong
They may got a lotta coffee in Brasil, but there's a lot more than that
I said to keep an eye on Brazil, and things are eye-popping down there. For a brief rundown, here's a piece from Gateway If you look, it does seem to be a combination of us and Canuckistan, with protesters and truckers making life Hell for the latest thrall of the Davos crowd. But this time, the Army is on the side of the good guys. Important point.
In the immortal words of Stephen Stills, there's something happening here, what it is ain't exactly clear. This is the third major country (I know) to have its freedoms and institutions usurped, but to have the people fight back. Like J6, Fake News is calling it a riot, and we could call it that, but it would turn every Democrat/Leftist protest of the last 50+ years into a riot.
What's happening is that the people have gone to the capital to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. In a disorderly way, granted, but so was the Boston Tea Party (Philadelphia just told them to drop dead). So the ante is being upped by the people. The Left is getting all huffy about it with Brandon decrying the "assault on democracy and on the peaceful transfer of power". Democracy, of course, is Democrat for we steal elections and rule, not govern.
Another point to be pondered closer to home is that the rules changes to which McCarthy agreed have actually passed. The doomsters were sure it wouldn't happen, but here we are; which makes the reason more Rs didn't jump on the rejectionist bandwagon a bit puzzling.
I have a feeling we have turned, or are turning, a corner here, but where it leads, truly, ain't exactly clear.
This may be the winter when more than the streets of San Fiasco get washed clean.
We shall see.

Believe it or don't, I do think they're scared
Considering the Lefties are supposed to have the whip hand, they don't sound like it. Brandon found the fight over the Speakership "embarrassing" (insert punchline). So did the Demos. Not like the party discipline they have. There was actually a revolt, and Kevin McCarthy had to make concessions (we'll have to see how those last) to turn the tide.
How dast they? You'd think it was the dervishes taking Khartoum or the Zulus washing their spears at Isandlwana. Such things don't happen to the Uni-Party.
Yet here it are. and, even better, Commie News Net had one of their hacks put it in writing.
According to him, Anyone surprised by the dysfunction this week should not have been; the House GOP conference has been growing increasingly dysfunctional over the past 13 years. The chaotic machinations witnessed by the world this week are simply a continuation of the dysfunction that began after the Tea Party swept the House in 2010.
Former Speaker John Boehner and Republican Majority Leader Eric Cantor, and later Speaker Paul Ryan, were all tormented by a rejectionist wing of their own party on simple matters of governance. Funding the government, preventing default on the full faith and credit of the United States, providing emergency relief to states and communities ravaged by natural disasters, and reauthorizing essential programs all became dramatic, high stakes fights.
So, it was the fault of those damned Tea Partiers being rejectionist and not doing as told by their gauleiters.
Der Fuhrer must be spinning.
It gets better.
Here's the deal that bought the Speakership: allowing a single member to call for a vote to oust the speaker is a nonstarter; same for placing more members of the Freedom Caucus on the House Rules Committee and a promise that a McCarthy-aligned super PAC would not intervene in open, safe seat GOP primaries.
Again, we'll see how all this turns out.
Here's the best part. CNN's man now starts with what he calls Rational Republicans and starts telling them what they need to do. They must stand, fight and resist, he says.
Is surrendering your way to victory really winning? And when will this appeasement ever end, considering it only makes this extremist faction more powerful? Sound familiar?
He goes on to say, if there aren’t enough GOP votes for a more reasonable rules package, then it’s time to try something novel – bipartisanship. In this case, rational Republicans should reach across the aisle and work with Democrats to secure enough votes for a rules package that rolls back some of the hardliners’ demands.
This is all just too cute. The Lefties now want the Whigs to start doing what they have done for more than a half century.
The point seems to be that the Uni-Party seems to have met its match. Maintaining the illusion of a 2 party system means keeping the Whigs viable, but that now seems a very tough row to hoe, unless, of course, the Left wants to get nasty. That will create a new set of martyrs, as it seems Ashli Babbitt is not going gently into that good night.
Nor should any of the others murdered that day. FWIW, here is how Rosanne Boyland, Benjamin Phillips, and Kevin Greeson all died.

On Lost Leaders & Lemmings
How I felt enduring the last five minutes of 2022 watching Ryan Seacrest's Rocking New Year's Eve on ABC while waiting for the ball to drop. Each year I think that spectacle can't get any weirder looking or appear more disjointed, and each year it does. May this new year, 2023, hold goodness and blessing for those who enter into or join in levity in whatever form it takes.
