Hmm. That seems a very narrow range of ages. The first floor of the Hamilton building is sectioned off, first a cattle chute back and forth forward one, back and forth to the front, and people do weave it even though there is no line, they could skip the whole thing walk around it to the front and wait there to be called next, but nobody does that, they all obediently weave the ridiculous artificial path for them. To get a ticket. To go into another cavernous room for free.

Once inside the kids can learn about Japan through interactive activities and crafts.

Or pick up a kid's backpack and explore its contents for an adventure.

Or go to one of the creative corners to play with miniature mannequins.

Or discover European and American arty by piecing together a portrait using everyday objects or dress up in costume.

Or enjoy the insane creations in the Bosch Puppet theatre and build puppets inspired by Bosch paintings.

Or dress up in costumes to see how it feels to wear clothes of people in paintings. Or follow clues to explore the American west.

Octopus leaps out of water, tackles a crab, drags it back to the shallows

I saw this video at a couple of places. I forget where I read a page that said the girl is never without a camera around her neck. Bless her heart. You know, it is really hard to get fast shots like this. Opportunities pop up, boom, they're gone before you're ready. Kudos for great responses. I love seeing kids explore the world around them, being amazed, uploading videos, and seeing those go viral like this.

Doodle 4, Google 2014

There were over 100,000 submissions for Google's 7th annual doodle contest. Goodness, that is a lot. 250 semifinalists with 50 State winners.  First place from all that, 11 year-old Audrey Zhang from New York. \o/

We quickly lost count of all the delightful elements of Audrey’s doodle. So in the spirit of this year’s theme, we asked Audrey to spend a day with the doodlers to turn her illustration into a moving animation. As an animator and director for a day, she made sure we twinkled each light and cleaned the water just right and took extra care for the  illustration’s dragons—about whom she is also writing a novel.

Hilariously innocent / damaged permanently : same-o / same-o. Honestly, Parents, shut your doors already. One said his kid came home from sex ed with misapprehensions at eight years old. Another child with questions is shown a condom, "You mean they're square?"
