Mariah Carey shuts down settlement talks with ex-fiancé

Mariah Carey didn’t even tie the knot with billionaire James Packer, but their split is already messier than most divorces.

The diva has reportedly shut down settlement negotiations with her ex-fiancé, accusing Packer of being a “lying opportunist” and threatening him with a lawsuit, according to TMZ.

Carey is demanding $50 million from Packer, citing that he caused such distress that the singer had to cancel the South American leg of her current tour.

But the tour cancellation was due to poor ticket sales, a Packer source told TMZ.

Packer argues he doesn’t owe Carey a dime, as they were never married.

 Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen had a double-date night with Olivier Sarkozy and Richard Sachs at the Knicks game on Wednesday.

Both couples were photographed smooching throughout the night.

Page Six was the first to report Mary-Kate’s nuptials to Sarkozy, and also broke the news that Sachs is Ashley’s main squeeze.

“Olivier is a longtime friend of Richard’s. They have the same group of friends, so it’s possible he may have introduced them,” a source close to Sachs told us.

Several sources have described financier Sachs, 56, as “extremely private” and “rich” with homes in New York, St. Barts and Malibu, Calif.

“He’s so private. They’re certainly comfortable given the fact that they keep being seen out. It seems like it’s more than just dating. They’ve been together for the past several weeks, so it’s definitely a real relationship,” our source said.
