Another day in Paradise

I was told there would be no war.

I was misinformed.

Making pickup trucks great again!

So I am waiting at a stop light on Merrick Road out on Long Island. A pickup pulls up with a Hispanic guy blasting salsa music. I go to put the window up and then I notice it.

A sticker of the God Emperor in the back seat. As though this guy is happy driving around with Donald Trump as one of his boys.

You see I think there is a great groundswell out there. Thousands and thousands of working guys of all races and ethnicities who have jobs now or are getting more money in their paycheck. Who don't give a shit what CNN or MSNBC or Lady Graham or Mitt Romney or Songbird or Joe Scarborough have to say. Who don't care about Russia, Russia, Russia.

Support for the President will be evident in unexpected places. Now I don't over value it. His black support might be maxed out at 20%. Which is phenomenal for a Republican. A total game changer. His Hispanic support will be much higher. The media will be dumbfounded. The pollsters will not understand how they got it so wrong.

They will conclude that someone had tampered with the election.

My vote is that it was the Martians.

The plan starts to take shape.

Report: McMaster pushing for “tens of thousands” of U.S. ground troops for Syria and Iraq to finish off ISIS?

Bloomberg Dot Com by Eli Lake

Senior White House and administration officials tell me Trump's national security adviser, General H.R. McMaster, has been quietly pressing his colleagues to question the underlying assumptions of a draft war plan against the Islamic State that would maintain only a light U.S. ground troop presence in Syria. McMaster's critics inside the administration say he wants to send tens of thousands of ground troops to the Euphrates River Valley. His supporters insist he is only trying to facilitate a better interagency process to develop Trump's new strategy to defeat the self-described caliphate that controls territory in Iraq and Syria........Jack Keane, a retired four-star Army general close to McMaster  who said he was not speaking for McMaster, told me he favored a plan to begin a military operation along the Euphrates River Valley. "A better option is to start the operation in the southeast along the Euphrates River Valley, establish a U.S. base of operations, work with our Sunni Arab coalition partners, who have made repeated offers to help us against the regime and also ISIS. We have turned those down during the Obama administration." Keane added that U.S. conventional forces would be the anchor of that initial push, which he said would most likely require around 10,000 U.S. conventional forces, with an expectation that Arab allies in the region would provide more troops to the U.S.-led effort.

We need to Make America Great Again.......in Retail

Why New York’s most beloved stores are dying

New York Post By Nicole Gelinas November 27, 2016

‘Tis the season to be shopping — but in Manhattan, where?
New Yorkers set in their retail routines are suffering annoyance and anxiety as their favorite places to browse close. And the industry responsible for a big chunk of New York’s recent job growth is facing serious woes.
Last week, The Post’s Steve Cuozzo reported that Gracious Home looks to be in trouble. It’s a huge hardware, housewares and home-goods store that has been a mainstay of the Upper East Side for 53 years. The store’s Upper West Side location is newer, but old enough to be an institution: It opened 18 years ago.
Now, the stores, which employ 300 people, are having a fire sale. Signs are up advertising that everything is 10 to 50 percent off.
This doesn’t seem to be normal Black Friday stuff. The signs proclaim, ominously, that “everything must go.” Last week, a worker stoically told a nervous customer that the stores were “restructuring,” and she wasn’t sure if they’d stay open.

Think again there buddy

So I walk into the bank down the block yesterday to make some checks. There are these two sharped dressed dudes waiting for the manager.  I am immersed in my own affairs and don't pay too much attention. Just enough the way you always do in the city. You want to be sure they aren't going to start shooting.

These mooks were there to promote Brooklyn Nets Basketball. I guess they picked Chase because every single employee is black. I don't know how that happened. Well I do know how that happened but waddayagonna do? The had a token Italian guy for a while to talk to the old timers who still had money in the bank but that ended three years ago.

Anyway these guys were peddling tickets to the Nets. They were trying to sell season packages and as a come on were offering floor seats for $50. I thought nothing of it and finished my transactions (after the usual endless difficulties).

Make America's Burgers Great Again!

Americans aren’t eating burgers anymore

By Lisa Fickenscher New York Post Business Section August 12, 2016

A new chapter in the burger wars is starting to sizzle — but don’t expect dollar meals at any of these joints.
The latest burger battle is being waged in the $3 billion better burger segment — where Five Guys, Shake Shack, Smashburger and at least 30 others serve up $8-plus burgers made with fresh beef and no preservatives.
The sector was red-hot a decade ago — and attracted lots of new entrants, many with a plan to blanket the country with stores.
But business began to fall several years ago — and with many chains still pursuing aggressive expansion plans, some are predicting a shakeout is coming.

Sign of the times!

This the face of the people who want to destroy Donald Trump and his campaign to end illegal immigration. This is who you enable when you support Ted Cruz who has no chance of winning the general election. Trump is the only one who can reach out to disaffected Democrats and independents and flip enough states to beat the Democrats. Cruz and Kasich and the GOPe and the #Nevertrumpers are doing everything they can to make America Mexico again. Not because they want that to happen. But because they lost and they won't give it up and come on board and try to defeat Hillary. Cruz I can understand. He will always do whatever he can in service of his ambition. Kasich agrees with untrammeled immigration. The GOPe like Ryan want unlimited immigration to satisfy the  Chamber of Commerce. Trump brought this issue to the fore. He is the one who wants to stem the tide. He won the nomination in the face of 17 rivals. When he wins Indiana they will still keep on trying to steal the nomination. Regardless of how many votes Trump will have won.

A Majority of Americans Feel Like Strangers In Their Own Country

Breibart News November 20, 2015 by Mike Flynn

A Super PAC tied to Ohio Governor John Kasich is annnouncing a new multi-million dollar effort to torpedo Donald Trump’s campaign for the Republican nomination.

Trump’s continued dominance of national and state-level polling has vexed the GOP establishment and pushed it to near-panic as voting nears.
recent survey of public attitudes by Reuters/Ispos, though, suggests caution for the GOP establishment.
Whatever failings there may be in his specific policies, Donald Trump’s campaign has tapped into a strong, visceral feeling of millions of Americans. Seeking to destroy Trump, the candidate, may further alienate the Republican party from a rapidly growing block of voters.
According to the Reuters survey, 58 percent Americans say they “don’t identify with what America has become.” While Republicans and Independents are the most likely to agree with this statement, even 45 percent of Democrats share this feeling.
More than half of Americans, 53 percent, say they “feel like a stranger” in their own country. A minority of Americans feel “comfortable as myself” in the country.
