The books are moving

I started out selling some of my books on Amazon. I have about 3000 of them and it has been very tough to get them all on Amazon. So far I have put up about 400 of them. Also various other stuff I had to get rid of when I moved. Like a pasta machine that sold in a day. So far I have sold about 40 books in a month or so which is pretty good.

If you want to check them out just go to Amazon and look up "Joe Torre The Yankee Years" in hardcover. Check out the New ones for sale. If you click on to that you will see one offered by "Brooklyn Reads." Which is the name I am selling under. Just click on "Brooklyn Reads" and you will get a list of all of the titles I put up so far.

Oh and please use Lem's Amazon Portal. I don't make a lot of money off of this. I just want my books to go to a good home. I am using the money to get some of them on Kindle. It is the wave of the future.

"Amazon Unlocks Vast E-Book Library for $10 a Month"

"Amazon on Friday introduced Kindle Unlimited, a new subscription service for e-books. The service allows customers to download and read as many books as they want from a list of more than 600,000 Kindle books for a monthly fee of US$9.99."

Included in the price are thousands of Audible audio books.

Amazon is offering a try-it-for-one-month-free deal to get customers on board with the service.

Why is Amazon so secretive?

"[S]uppose you wanted to know not about the future, but about the present or even the past. About how, for instance, Amazon’s grocery delivery service is working out in the test markets, or how many Kindles have been sold. Surely this would be the easiest thing in the world for Amazon to answer, because, you know, it’s past. Apple is one of the most secretive companies in the world, but it will readily tell you how many iPhones and iPads it is selling.
But Amazon will not tell you any of this. Every quarter, the analysts get on the phone with Tom Szkutak, the chief financial officer, and pepper him with questions. But whether it is past, present or future, Mr. Szkutak ably dodges each query. Here were his replies Thursday:"

“I am sorry I can’t help you … you have to wait on that … In terms of the details, I can’t really give you a lot of color … you will have to stay tuned on that one … I can’t talk to the specifics of that … there is not a lot I can help you with there … I wouldn’t speculate what we would do or not do going forward … I wouldn’t speculate. We might or might not do in the future … if you look back at what we have done, you can’t expect that we might do [it] going forward … I wouldn’t want to speculate what they would or wouldn’t do related to pricing … it’s hard to tell, honestly. It’s hard to know … it’s very early … that’s really all I can say … I can’t comment.”

Amazon; When I Positively Have to have it Today?

"Amazon’s CEO said Sunday night that the company plans to use drones to make deliveries, offering the possibility of a massive domestic surge in a technology now best known for gunning down Islamic militants in Pakistan and Yemen."
The company suggested delivery drones could reduce shipping time to a mere 30-minutes after an online order. But the buzzy announcement will require, first of all, a massive reworking of regulations around unmanned aviation.

The online retailer’s chief executive officer and founder, Jeff Bezos, introduced the delivery mechanism, Prime Air, which is in development, on 60 Minutes. Immediately after the piece, Amazon put up a video showing a delivery via the drone, and a portion of its website describing Prime Air.
