They are itching for something to land on and start a fight. Willing to flip- flop over and over again in order to generate in their followers some sense of cohesion or belonging to a cause. I find the whole thing confusing and disheartening. All the energy and intensity behind the fights over abortion rights and Roe V Wade, with the driving need to knit and wear pussy hats now seems to be going into defending illegal criminals as the next righteous cause, with the knitting and wearing of red tassled hats as a show of support.
The dissonance, disconnect and intensity wear me out.
