Without question, but the climate is far different from 4 years ago. I think the Davos crowd (who unquestionably were the ones who selected the Big Guy) underestimated how disliked (and dislikable) and incompetent he really was. All they saw was an errand boy who would do anything if the cut was big enough. The sheep would go along.
A half year out, his numbers are ghastly while Trump is seen by many as Everyman. One presumes the playbook they are using works in Europe and elsewhere, but sure ain't fling here.

Both tell a tale, but I don't see the election as that cryptic. From what I see, I don't think many other people do, either.

I'm seeing a tangled mess of red, blue, black and white.
Red and blue voters, states, and political groups, all pushing or pushed into black and white thinking, agendas and positions.
I believe those who pulled out all the stops last time to manipulate the election results are going to attempt to do so again.
