Not linking to NYT. We read things about them, but not actually read them. Somebody over there said:
“As we celebrate Easter Sunday, nearly 18 months after Mr. Trump won the presidency with about 80 percent of the white evangelical vote, surveys show him retaining nearly all of that support…”Their constant nagging has failed because nobody listens anymore.
Whereas they and their ilk regard Trump as a pig, and that's as far as their thinking can go, we regard their political opinions as pig shit and that's as far as I'm willing to regard any of their political regarding.
I've ceased giving it energy of thought. It's not worth the trouble of rubbing two neurons together. Now we just ridicule.
Their frustration is delightful. And for people first to scream shrilly about blending government policy with religious ideas, they're quick to fashion their politics into religion and first to blend them for striking some kind of perverse point, such as, "Trump, the hero you worship," a thing that Christians don't do. Evangelicals have one deity and that precludes any political figure. Although I'll admit the canonization of Reagan comes a bit close. Political heroes are a Democrat thing. It's in Democrat homes where we see photographs of John Kennedy presented as religious art. I've yet to see anything like it in homes of Republicans.
Here's some more of what the dopes said, if you care for a little nettling annoyance. Liberty Headlines deconstructs so we don't have to.
Know what's better for me than thinking about what liberals think about their sorry political state and their perturbed emotional condition?
Today I made a cake that's more like a pie without a crust. A soft airy not-too-sweet lemony tart pie that's very tall, like a firm sturdy soufflé. Cut the thing into six large pieces, packed them up, carefully arranged them in my backpack, took a neighborhood walk, dropped in on the people working this holiday, here and there, and gave the whole thing away piece by piece. Now, that was fun. I really dug seeing people's eyes light up when they tasted it. I imagine all these people are liberals with fiercely mal-informed political opinions. But since that doesn't come up, it's possible for them all to be lovely.

That is a very nice thing to do Chip. I am sure they appreciated it and I am guessing you enjoyed their reactions.
Right about the nagging.
Chip - nice thing to do and you surveyed the shop workers the day before to determine who had to work on Easter. Good Planning and precise execution is what we need more of- Chip should be in charge of downsizing the fed govt and re-locating its depts out of the Imperial City.
First of all, Jesus would never run as a Democrat because second of all, he would never become one. Fucking idiots.
