Whose that girl who shares something with the NFL?

She does indeed have something in common with the NFL. Her cousin actually invented sports betting. But she was not a lucky lady. To be sure.

This sixties cutie was a bartender who had a lot of dates but the rumor is she was a muff diver. In the end none of it mattered. All of her dreams went for naught. In the end nobody cared. Nobody came.

Just like the former fans of the NFL.

Whose that girl?

Hate to say it, but

Kitty Genovese.

There's a pretty good documentary about her on Netflix. She was a definite muff driver, but it might have been a transitional thing between husbands. There weren't all that many people who heard her scream, and one who did went to her aid. There were a lot of lies told about her. The documentary was made by her nephew. He loved and admired her. He was deeply hurt by all the negative stories about her, many of which turndown out to be untrue. He joined the Marines and lost both his legs in Vietnam. He's a straight up good guy in every dimension. The documentary is fascinating because it shows just how awful the world can be. Abe Rosenthal, The NY Times editor, didn't give her or her neighbors a fair shake. The man who killed her broke out of prison and raped another woman while a fugitive. He's applying for parole. He feels he's been mistreated by the American criminal justice system.,......I strongly recommend this documentary. Too bad I don't remember the name of it, but it's excellent.

It's called "The Witness."

A truly interesting film.

You are exactly right William.

The only question left is what does Kitty have in common with the NFL?

Thanks, Ed. The name of the documentary is The Wirness. It was her brother who made it. If you want to see how the media can fuck things up, see this documentary.

Thanks Trooper. Lots of crossed messages.

Let me put it this way. I was told to take care scheduling posts. To space them reasonably. We did talk about this. Yet my own posts keep being stepped on. Boot print right on my face.

That's okay. My features can use a bit of rearranging. And it doesn't hurt one single bit.

Still, I looked and the space was wide open.

Sorry Chip.

I didn't even notice.

My fault.

I will fix it.

I thought someone objected because of, well, the subject.

And, yeah, I don't think anybody's going to hear the cries for help of the old NFL.

But William makes a good point, The Gray Lady was just as sleazy 50 years ago. Talk about your corporate culture.

The weird thing is none of the "college graduates" taking part in the hijinks realize the Left doesn't care if the NFL collapses. the networks will miss all that revenue, but they'll sort of survive, for how much longer we can only guess, but the thugs masquerading as athletes will either die young and violent or old and poor.

You would think street smarts, if not education, would tell them they're doing a Wile E Coyote.

And just in time to make the point, DirectTV has been flooded with people wanting their money back, not to mention ratings are down 10% like the last 3 weeks.

I think we'll hear the nets cry, "Uncle", some time around Turkey Day.

Interesting stat: NFL teams with the most protesters likeliest to lose.

Do we see a pattern?
